Since joining Nouns DAO in 2022, Nouncil has cast an impressive 652 votes. As Nouncil grows, managing it within a Discord server has become increasingly challenging. Initially, Nouncil was a space where anyone passionate about Nouns could jump in and start contributing independently. Nouncil protocol is a piece of technology that affords nouncillors an onchain identiy and the ability to govern onchain. ## Nouncil Protocol Nouncil Protocol is a comprehensive approach to managing Nouncil's membership roll and treasury in a decentralized manner. The protocol enables decentralized issuance and management of non-fungible, non-transferable tokens. These tokens come with governance power and symbolize membership within Nouncil DAO. The DAO holds complete control over the issuance of the tokens. The DAO holds complete control over its treasury. This system enables the collective management of Nouncil's membership and a decentralized treasury.
