## How to write a paper
1. report your contribution

4. something can moivate reader? Think about a story! That story has to be in a very condense way(abstract); the way you started and get the reader excited..
5. write the paper arround figures and tables *First the figures!
6. most people only look at:
Abstract
Figures
Reference (To get the background information)
Acknowledgments (who review the paper)
7. results and discussion not mix
8. Title
Try to write down your title:
Genomics and successful survival of the invassive slug —— Arion vulgaris
9. introduction
the BIG picure, context, why is this important, motivate the reader!
references to all previously published work
or cite review paper
beware of work of potential reviewers (causes most problems)
**conviencing you do something new** is difficult
10. observation and results
**only discribe the report, do not judge results**

12. always think what would the reviewer say
13. ask another person to read and ask if is there logical gaps?

## After submit a paper

1. receive the review comments
2. digest them and overome the inertia to revise the manuscripts
3. send the revised manuscript
The reviion process
1. Inform all co-authors about the outcome
2. Read the review comments carefully again and propose a strategy to your co-authors
3. The rebuttle letter
can be very long and detailed
use two colours
4. Editor needs to read your revised manuscripts and may ask for more changes
6. if no futher changes -> typestting
7. check for the proof
8. publishing online
