# Fox Lake Police Department ## Standard Operating Procedures ### Chapter 1. Officer Equipment Standard officer equipment consists of the following: - Notepad - Flashlight - Handcuffs - Radio - Glock 17 Handgun (or other choice of handgun) - Patrol Bag Additional equipment for use in emergency situations includes: - MP5A3 Submachine Gun - Bulletproof Vest Volunteer officers are issued all standard equipment _except_ firearms, handcuffs and bulletproof vests. ### Chapter 2. Structure The department budget limits it to three full time members - a Chief and two Officers. The department also employs volunteers and station staff. ### Chapter 3. Law Enforcement - Process of Arrest Officers who arrest a suspect are to transport them to tye station or have them transported to the station by corrections staff. There tye suspect will be placed in holding. The suspect can be interviewed, interrogated or released. Arrest reports are to be given to corrections staff at their desk.
