# Ory-Application Dear Ory-Team I apply for a position as a Solutions Engineer. Because of a friend I've stumbled upon your company and was instantly enthused about your open-source nature, your proximity to developers, the comandline and your way of solving a problem with the big picture and the communitys affected in mind. I am currently in my final semester of my bachelors degree of computer sience in Augsburg. Thus, I currently work on my bachelors thesis with the subject of writing a Linux-kernel-module using *Rust*. Even though my main laguage is *go* since i have been working at the ["Center for the Cultivation of Technology"](https://techcultivation.org/) (CCT) due to my dual study programm with CCT. What You'll Do - [ ] Talk to customers, write code, debug and solve problems. - [ ] Become an expert at using the Ory Cloud and Ory Open Source products. - [ ] Work with the Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to advocate for our customers. - [ ] Collaborate with the Ory Open Source community to build and expand the Ory Open Source ecosystem. - [ ] Help set the tone for future hires and develop the sales and solutions team. We’re looking for someone who has - [x] A Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical or technical subject field or equivalent experience. - [ ] Experience at a SaaS provider or working with open source products with a commercial cloud offering. - [x] ~~Excellent~~ scripting knowledge in BASH and Python. - [ ] Familiarity with only one open source database SQLite - [x] Strong attention to detail, communication - [ ] strong writing skills - [ ] Fluent written English skills - [x] Fluent spoken English skills - [x] native language German - [x] Prior Experience in some communication-related roles a plus (only in volunteer work at the scouts)
