# ***GEUA LOGBOOK 2022*** Hi everyone ! My name is Wardah Ataillah Hussni and this is my journal for the Global Education University Alliance programme at Tecnologico de Monterrey, International Islamic University Malaysia, and Srinakharinwirot University. # **WEEK 1** Here is my progress for the week 1 of the programme. ***WHAT DID YOU DO FOR THIS WEEK ?*** This week marked the start of the program's execution. I went to the inaugural talk and a presentation on the Minimum Viable Product this week (MVP). When I was given the task of giving a presentation on how engineering may promote peace and prosperity on the third day, I created a slide to introduce the concept to my lecturer and fellow students. Next step is to establish a group around a project that we will propose for this programme. My group had a good conversation about the proposal we put up. ***WHAT DID YOU ENJOY ?*** I absolutely loved each session this week, especially the MVP talk, which I had never heard of before. After that, I had a terrific time getting to know other students from Thailand and Mexico. Interacting with them was enjoyable. I really enjoyed the introductions and the project session because I saw how everyone has different views that they can use to better their society. ***WHAT DID YOU FIND IT DIFFICULT ?*** Since I am an introvert, I find it difficult to interact with them this week. Another issue was project discussion due to the time zone difference, which is night in Mexico and morning in Thailand and Malaysia. ***WHAT HAS CHANGED ?*** I overcame my fear of communicating with others, especially when our languages weren't the same. I then discovered how to accept thoughts that were better than mine. # WEEK 2 ***WHAT DID YOU DO THIS WEEK*** The second week of the program's execution was at hand. I went to Sir Anil's talk and Sir Eduardo's speech on conflict resolution this week. Additionally, I worked with my team to develop the MVP that we would produce. After that, in response to the advisor's recommendation that our project's scope was too broad, we shrunk it. We reduce it as a result. We're finally starting to know one another better. ***WHAT DID YOU ENJOY*** This week, I genuinely liked every session. I gained more knowledge about Srinakharinwirot University and Thai culture on Monday. In that session, I had the impression that I was in Thailand. It's a wonderful chance for me to learn about Thai culture from Srinakharinwirot University students. The next day, I gained additional knowledge about Sir Anil's discussions of various subjects, including international affairs. This workshop increased my knowledge of foreign studies as a consequence. After Sir Eduardo's session, I also learned how to settle a dispute in a group where everyone has their own ideologies and worldviews. ***WHAT DID YOU FIND DIFFICULT*** The time zone difference, which has hampered the development of our project, is one of the difficulties I've been dealing with this week that is identical to one I experienced last week. After that, our group ran into some problems during the session for the project with a narrower scope. We must both agree and disagree that this is only a short-term issue. It has now become stable. I think the challenge I faced this week was this. ***WHAT HAS CHANGED*** Our group's communication has been better this week. No one is timid any more. Having a nice discussion regarding our MVP project is possible. Everyone values the views of others and collaborates to find solutions to issues. # WEEK 3 ***WHAT DID YOU ENJOY THIS WEEK ?*** This week, I presented our culture, which was a remarkable thing for my nation. I had a great time talking about my favourite meals, travel places, different Malaysian holidays, and many other things during this session. It's a great chance for me and my fellow Malaysian students to spread the word about our nation and teach people about our culture. This enables visitors from different nations to Malaysia to understand our culture. ***WHAT DID YOU FIND IT DIFFICULT*** This last week was challenging for me. I was unable to attend sessions with my group since I had consistent training every night. Consequently, I've had a little trouble this week. I did, however, want to know what they spoke about. ***WHAT HAS CHANGED*** Our group leader assigned us a specific task for our MVP in relation to our project. Despite the fact that we only have a short time to complete this MVP, this is significant progress toward making this project a success. # WEEK 4 ***WHAT DID YOU DO*** This week, I assisted my team in identifying some water issues in my country that will be addressed by completing this MVP. As a result, I discovered various issues that can be addressed by our MVP project. In conclusion, Malaysian society will benefit tremendously from our MVP project. Second, I recorded a short presentation about my learning experience during this entire program. ***WHAT DID I LEARNED THRROUGH THIS PROGRAM*** * I learned to respect others and stay committed to my group because everyone has their own responsibilities but they still makes time for our project to be completed. * I learned to respect time, which was especially important when we met someone from different time zone. * I enjoyed the Monday session in which we discussed our country’s culture.
