The goal for the group is to create a software conformance program, similar to the Kubernetes Conformance Program, that any telco application implementation can use to demonstrate that they are conformant and interoperable with cloud native principles. This will aid companies such as communications service providers and large scale enterprises, running internal telecommunications-like infrastructure, to better understand what cloud native means for telecommunications workloads and help build consensus around industry adoption of cloud native technologies. See https://github.com/cncf/cnf-conformance/pull/450 for background. Invite Email: --- Hello! This email serves as an invitation for you to register to virtually offer a Maintainer Track session at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2021 Virtual. Please see the details below and [fill out the form](https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KJ2ZG3K) no later than Sunday, February 7, 2021, 11:59pm PST. The Opportunity: Leaders of CNCF Graduated and Incubating Projects and Activities (Working Groups, SIGs, Subprojects, User Groups) can host one 35-minute session, during KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America, being held virtually, May 4–7, within the “Maintainer Track.” We recommend your session be a combination of an introduction and deep dive of our project/working group/SIG/User Group/Subproject. The Intro portion should include some slides and a demo to explain what your activity does and why people should care. (15-minutes) The Deep Dive portion is for contributors, maintainers and other attendees with some pre-existing familiarity with the activity. We recommend that this should be a working part focusing on technical discussions and debates, as opposed to just processes (e.g., should the API be changed, not what's the best time for monthly conference calls). (20-minutes) Maintainer Track sessions will be available to all conference attendees. You may have a maximum of four speakers on your session. Each speaker will be provided free registration to the conference. **This is one of the best opportunities of the year to add new users and contributors. ** Requirement: In order to participate in the Maintainer Track, you must lead a CNCF Graduated/Incubating Project, a CNCF SIG or Working Group, or a Kubernetes SIG, Working Group, User Group, or Subproject. Changes: Sandbox projects are no longer eligible to offer maintainer track sessions at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon. With the recent change of the event going virtual, our goal is to minimize screen fatigue and the number of sessions hosted virtually. One way we are doing this is to only allow one Maintainer Track session per CNCF Graduated and Incubating Projects and Activities (Working Groups, SIGs, Subprojects, User Groups). To register a Maintainer Track session for KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2021 - Virtual, please go to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KJ2ZG3K The deadline to register to offer a Maintainer Track session for Europe 2021 is Sunday, February 7, 11:59pm Pacific Standard Time (PST). You’ll be notified of the scheduled date and time of your session by Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Please note, we are still working on all the logistics of bringing this event to a virtual platform (no platform has been decided upon, yet) and will share those details on March 3. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you, CNCF Content Team
