# Project title: TTFD
Date: 21-Dec-2021
## Participants
* Alex Botzki
* James Collier

* Bart Ghesquiere
* Dries Verdegem
* Kirsten Mestach
## Outline
### Internal evaluation:
Metabolomics Core facility (tracer metabolism). Change carbon atoms to carbon 13 and incorporated in downstream metabolites. The software gives suggestions of possible answers to the question: how did I get this and this incorporation? The website is a database of these explanations.
May have individuals (admin; Dries) add data to the database. These data can
also come from other databases.
James: Seems like it need not be dynamic?
Answer: currently true. Extensions probably require some server-side
computation.
Alex: Where is the value (for commercialisation)?
Industry doesn't have experts like Bart. They always do this via consultancy. So using this website would be cheaper. BioCyc and Metasite: Alex will check for commerical use ability.
Recon3D: Bart will for commercial use.
They are using a database??? with license conditions related to commercialisation attached.
Stage 1:
> What is the purpose of the project?
> What are the major building blocks for the project?
> Where should the project run? (e.g. cluster, internet browser, ...)
> Can the project be open-source?
> How involved in development can the customer be? (Review PRs, attend demo sessions, ...)
## User info
### Internal evaluation:
> Who are your users? How technically literate are they?
> Will they want to use this software
> What might users not want?
## Features
### Internal evaluation
> Please describe the features you want in as much detail as possible (include priority where possible)
## Existing software and documentation
### Internal evaluation
> Do you already have an existing solution?
> How well documented is the existing solution?
> What alternatives exist?
> Does the software need to integrate with other systems?
> How well documented are these other systems?
## Other considerations
> Is there likely to be a publication with VIB Bioinformatics Core on the author list?
