Each office has its own specialty tasks that are not usually done by any other. The press office, as common sense would state, manages the public outreach portion of the office. If you have a question, feel free to ask the press secretary. [TOC] ## Task Your main task is to inform the public of recent news *regarding the governor's office*. Most of the time, you will be assigned a certain job that best fits your overall abilities. Questions should be directed to the Press Secretary (vhaddie). #### Graphics The graphics portion of the team will deal with event and update graphics. These can range from photos that are just edited or a ROBLOX GFX. The better the ability, the better chance you have of being placed into this portion of the office. #### Journalism and Editing These folks will be responsible for creating and editing press releases. Depending on the activity of each week, there may be a little or lot of writing and editing to be done. ## Guidelines There are set guidelines that you are expected to adhere while you are employed in the press office. Failure to abide by these rules could result in possible termination of your employment. #### Publishing classified information You are not allowed to publish or make the public aware of classified or otherwise restricted information. Additionally, you are not allowed to violate and non-disclosure agreements that you have previously signed. #### Publishing slander Do not slander any members of the community and other communities alike. Your opinion should not make light in any releases by the office. #### Publishing without permission In order to make sure the information given is at top quality and does not violate any of the set guidelines or rules for your employment, you are required to get permission from the press secretary or acting press secretary to public information. #### Publishing with bias There shall be no bias within this team. In order to do this, you are to keep your past and personal problems away. Reporting effectively is essential to this team, if you can't handle that you will be terminated. #### Publishing for no reason This may fall under [publishing without permission](https://hackmd.io/urCyC7a_QZecH6RWNAtodA#Publishing-without-permission), however it is important to cover. All assignments you do are made specifically for this office. To ensure utmost productivity, you should not be side tracked on projects that are not related to the the governor's office (when working on something for the press office).
