# Steamdeck notes

- Ideally, people should play through flatpak's Airshipper
- Permissions issue?

- Airshipper from site works
- Right dpad disables screen and gives mouse control
- This isn't great for a mobile experience
- UI is too small
- Would be great if menu was a nice size off the bat
- Entering details on a keyboard is hard
- Steam deck doesn't have a virtual keyboard
- Performance is mostly 60fps
- Could use some tweaking?
- Ping went really high and caused chunk loading to lag
- Wifi shouldn't be bad, geolocated server is likely the issue
- Chat doesn't make as much sense on Steam deck
- Default text lines could be a solution
- Does have a touchscreen
- Custom UI that keeps controllers as a first-class goal could be viable?
