# 2022-01-09 Weekly Meeting ###### tags: `weekly-meeting` ### Topics: - CDN - Need a non-profit - Release 0.12 - 5th of February (xmax prefer the 19th) - Lunar new year? - Finances - Bounty board - How to invest into the project - Sponsor content creators - Reading club - Combat - Switching to weekly releases ## CDN - Suggested to just pay for one - We need release - This needs to be prototyped ## Weekly release ### Pros - We're no longer throwing out stuff that potentially needs to be addressed/revised in under a week - Allows for easier reverting? - It would give players something to look forward to - It would also allow for more versioning, and maybe more discrete changelogs - We don't have much activity right now so it would be the perfect time to make the change if we're going to make it - And it's clear that such frequent downloads are a pain for a lot of people - we can always do a manual update for hot fixes or ~~exciting features~~ - I think it's a good idea, even better if we can also run a staging server with instant deployments after merges like we used to have for prod - no need to pump out updates every day, especially if they tend to be minor. - what about making it update every thursday? - ### Cons - Airshipper Client and Server would need updating too since its hardcoded to use the nightly path on Airshipper server - I mean, we could add a weekly tag and make airshipper nightly pull from the weekly tag but that's not going to help make things clear - RTsim would be reworked otherwise some mobs would completely vanish from the game for week (server restart every 2 days maybe?) ### Thoughts - If we had a nightly and a weekly at the same time, we would have to be concerned about splitting the playerbase ## Next week Lead: @Angel Issues: @BigCheung MRs: @xMAC94x
