# MC@H Changes ## Changes ### New Roles - ~~Create a new~~ (Repurposed Senior Mod) role called Server Mod - Has more individual authority over server matters. Changes handled on a per-case basis. Choices should be able to be made independently, for the benefit of the server, without requiring massive consensus from everyone. Substantial uncertainty should require gathering opinions in a reasonable timeframe, after which solutions should be evaluated after that timeframe has ended, no matter how many or how few replies. - ~~Create a new~~ (Repurposed Moderator) role called MC@H Mod - Still has permissions to do moderation actions (e.g. ban, mute) but generally handles less about the server, and is more of a prominent community member, with some abilities to keep the server safe too. Staff role should remain, so that colour stays the same in chat between both roles, and those roles should be individually hoisted and colourless to make a clear differentiation so that people know who to go to for different matters. ### General Cleanup - Remove wiki related stuff - Currently the wiki only serves to take up channels, roles, and bots, and makes people knowledgeable in the things it discusses laugh at us as they're so poorly fact checked and grammar checked it's ridiculous Hey @everyone, after some admin discussion there are some important changes to the server. 1) There will now be 2 distinct mod roles; Server Mod who will have more individual authority over decisions regarding the server in the context of it being a Discord server, and MC@H Mod, who will essentially be well known and active community members (so the same people as already) and will retain the same perms like ban, mute, etc. These roles will be individually hoisted to make it clear who to go to for different matters depending on the situation. 2) The wiki related stuff needs to go. It at this point only serves to spread misinformation, consume channels and bots, and is maintained largely by people who are not in positions of knowledge to write the pages they're writing.
