Events (actually Economic Events in VF) are the actual economic activity. They create, increment, or decrement Resources (actually Economic Resources in VF), or don't affect them at all in some cases, depending on the event's action. In this case, all events are transfers, which decrement the "from" resource and increment the "to" resource, if such a resource exists in the scope of the accounting record of the network. This treatment assumes only the Commitment Pool resources are being tracked as "inventory". When events are reciprocal, they are grouped in an Agreement.

Notes:
- What is the purpose of the denomination of "10" on all the gift cards? Can each resource be the total of what is there, and allow "fractions" to be withdrawn?
- Does the application also record the trades between the members, like a fish gift card for some fish? (This mapping doesn't show that, but it could.)
- VF has the concept of Commitment and Intent (offer) already, but I didn't use it here, because it seems like the commitments in the pool have already been made into an economic resource themselves. But maybe this should be explored more, don't know.
- Is everything in the Commitment Pool box "owned" by the Commitment Pool? What happens if some gift cards are not traded out of the Commitment Pool, and they would spoil?
- If different people put in USD, would people take out specific USD related to who put it in, or would that basically become one USD resource in the pool?
- I'm not sure where the exchange rates would be applied, possibly related to the first question above. Looks like they are applied before the denominated gift cards?
