# Waku Workshop ## Problem A lot of devs might not know what Waku v2 is, how it works or why it is useful. We want to increase that understanding, so devs can be more productive with Waku v2, as well as understand the importance of moving to it. ## Audience Core and desktop devs. Two people: - 1) Don't know anything, still devs, don't know about Whisper (assume know enc primitives, but not libp2p) - 2) Whisper / Waku v1 familiar, but not Waku v2 at all ## Suggested scope - Motivation of Waku and brief history - Mention Whisper briefly and Waku v1 - Introduction of Waku - Introduction of main protocols - Introduction of implementations - Focus on nim-waku but mention others - Introduction of network - Introduction of current relevant priorities - Q&A (enough time for discussion) ## Suggested times Two 1-2h slots, 1-2 weeks from now, one in EU convenient timezone and one in NA convenient timezone. Possibly can get away with one only if we focus on EU/NA. Most desktop devs are in NA, and most core devs are in EU. Asia I believe is mostly Oskar, Franck and possibly some people from desktop. For example: 1) 8am Vancouver, 11am New York, 5pm Berlin 2) 10am Berlin, 4pm Taipei, 6pm Sydney https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meetingtime.html?iso=20210901&p1=241&p2=256&p3=37
