Congratulations on the release of Cyber Bluster! It has been a pleasure participating in this wonderful project.

I took this chance to think about MMBN again. All the same, I love the spacious parallel world of Cyberspace and the adorable pixel art. I'm generally fond of all the Cyberworlds and pixel art in every title of this series, but at the time of the announcement of the Legacy Collection, I based the work on the Cyberworld of MMBN1. Hope it brings out the inorganic and exciting feeling of the Cyberworld!

Without exaggeration, it is the MMBN series that has been keeping me enjoying anime, gaming and drawing until today. I will carry on the passion to the fullest, and hope the series will be loved by more and more people!

My first experience with the series came from the anime. Bass.EXE is more than impressive! Stylish and Cute! Yet, it feels lonely to see him staying alone, so I want to adopt him somehow…Probably the Bass of pride and solitude doesn't want to be taken care of, instead he will smash the one who looks down at him. Imagining such a situation, I drew a Bass with a look of disdain.

It was my first time to participate in this kind of project - thanks for the invitation! I love the Hikari brothers and all kinds of Double Souls of Megaman - I felt the impulsion to fill the canvas with them. May everybody be healed by cheering Lan and these cute Double Souls!

It was in fact my first experience with this kind of fan project. Indeed inteseting and I was happy to have this opportunity.

Thanks to CAPCOM, Thanks to the MMBN series and Thanks to the organizer (in incoherency)! The event fell on Dec. 25 so I chose the theme of Christmas. I tried my best to depict a hilarious atmosphere. I took the opportunity to draw several characters that I had seldom touched before.

I enjoyed the drawing very much. Hope you can share my joy!

It was an honor to participate in this project. I'm an only child and was always dreaming of a virtual pal to play with me since childhood. In primary school days, I was deeply moved by the animation series of MMBN. Being with Lan the little fool in his adventures and always saving the day - Megaman is indeed the pal I dreamed of! Thanks to the creators who brought these characters to us.

Although looks like a little bit reserved character, Chaud surprisingly cares for Lan. I can't deny that he is somehow mature than his peers, but sometimes also unexpectedly a little childish feeling. The growing process of them and complementary sincere friendship is always my love!

Rockman.EXE Treasure Box, released by Fukkan in commemorate of the 20th anniversary, contains a short story titled The Runaway Blues by Ryou Takamisaki. I was so thrilled to see a new piece of manga on ProtoMan.EXE after so many years. In my memory he is a navi of absolute Samurai spirit. How to bring out such a cool feeling? I struck on an idea - just follow the feeling of Yami Yugi and Dark Magician then it's done, isn't it?

Actually I'm a new player to MMBN, but this game released over twenty years ago is still so interesting and attractive. Can't wait to play MMBN Advance Collection in 2023! (and wait for more Netbattle matches!)

Message from the organizer

Thanks for the support from all the participants and fellows in the MMBN/Starforce postcard projects. Every contribution is refreshing, and I gained a lot from the process.

After a silence for three years, I eventually got the chance to apply for a booth in RG this June. I was desperate to hang out and meet people in a comic show, even without any products to put out. The original plan was to print some free cards and distribute a new issue of Starforce web comic, just like what I have done in RG24. Then here came the CAPCOM zone in the event and I was motivated to publish a MMBN/Starforce postcard collection with some close friends.

Then, here came the bomb in the end of June.
A MMBN Legacy Collection is on the way, with FULL CHINESE TRANSLATION.

The community was abuzz, everything melting down. Those who quitted the fandom for a long time all returned.

It became a now or never situation for me. I should reach out for all the fans within my reach to do something now, or I will never have a second chance to do it. Just like the ones who didn't have prior participation in a fan project, it was my first experience as an organizer. Aiming at a parallel release of MMBN/Starforce postcards, I wrote a patchwork proposal and braved it out to contact everyone I could, including those I hadn't even greeted before. To my surprise, I received many warm reply and they encouraged me to move further.

I can't but feel grateful for CAPCOM FOOD EXPO and the ecology of fan activities in Hong Kong. It's a self-mockery of CAPCOM fans that we all feed on reheated cold rice - the port, remaster and remake of retrogames. Still, you can meet new friends in RG via retrogames, however obscure they might be. Also, you could communicate the passion to new fans through the creation of derivative works. When I start with the MMBN/Starforce series about 6 years ago, I was led by a friend to an old manga shop in Choi Hung Estate, where you could rent a set of translated manga of MMBN (by Ryo Takamisaki) or Starforce (by Masaya Itagaki). By chance you could also run into adorable licenced local products in a dust covered corner, such as inflatable lanterns in the shape of MegaMan and ProtoMan. When the animation came out in Japan, TVB aired the two titles almost simultaneously, dubbed in Cantonese. Probably for this reason, the two series became a boom among young teenagers, even though the games were not available in Chinese. Residents in Guangdong, who could receive TVB programs, were also influenced. It was not long before I went to an offline event of the two series in Guangzhou, and got to know two best ACG friends. It was an incredible experience close to that of a timeslip. A powerful retrogame was a hit of the past as well as a permanent flame burning in the heart of the fans.

Last but not least, I have to thanks the supporters behind the project. 青喵 and +2, who designed the gifts for the participants, and PWM and yau_, who helped in the event logistics. I was absolutely impossible to run the booth by myself.
