# DECANONISED
*This article has been decanonised.*
*Reason:* This article was part of Ulas' rejected arc, and has been completely decanonised. Please do not refer to it in any lore discussions.
*Note: Due to the nature of this article, an alternative may be formed in the True Arc of Ulas serving a similar purpose. It will be linked here if that occurs.*
DEFINITIONS:
'Planet Cracker'
A weapon dedicated to destroying planets. Capable of lower-power, non-planet-destroying shots.
'Solcracker'
Star-destroying weapon. Capable of lower-power, non-planet-destroying shots if built correctly.
Can also be referred to as a Starcracker.
'Antimatter Weaponry'
Weaponry that takes advantage of Antimatter.
'Supermatter Weaponry'
Supermatter-based weaponry.
'Hypermatter Weaponry'
Hypermatter-based weaponry.
'Signatory Colonies'
Colonies that have signed this Convention.
'Nanotrasen Admirality Board'

'Independent Commanding Authority'
The independent commanding authority of a signatory colony. Note that this means that mentions of Independent Commanding Authorities do not apply to authorities which have not signed this document.
'Nanotrasen Navy'
The naval fleet of the Nanotrasen Corporation.
'Independent Naval Force'
An independent naval force, usually led by an Independent Commanding Authority. For redundance, note that when mentioned, this also does not apply to naval forces whose authority has not signed this document.
'Starship/Spaceship/Ship/Vessel'
Any spacecraft which may otherwise be fitted with one of the aforementioned weapons.
'Aforementioned Weapons'
Solcrackers, Planet Crackers, Supermatter, Hypermatter, and Antimatter Bombs with a yield enough to cause the same damage as a planet cracker at full power.
'Signatory Force'
An independent naval force, independent commanding authority, nanotrasen corporation, the nanotrasen admirality, or the nanotrasen navy, or any vessel or personnel which may be considered a part of the aforementioned authorities.
## Chapter 1 - Agreement
> *'Now I have become Death, destroyer of worlds.'* -Admiral Dundee, upon building the NTSV Inquisitor's Solcracker.
In simple terms:
The Nanotrasen Admirality Board agrees with Independent Commanding Authorities that none of the Aforementioned Weapons will be used on planets without meeting the conditions defined in Chapter 2.
## Chapter 2 - Conditions
> *'Look, you're destroying entire ecosystems here.'* -Random Karen, after asking to speak to the manager one too many times, reaching the Grand Admiral, and subsequently being shot.
Planets are only valid for use of the Aforementioned Weapons at planet-destroying power by signatory nations if the following conditions are met:
1. The planet is uninhabited by all detectable species, or appropriate backups have been made.
2. The situation warrants the planet's destruction for the greater good of Spinward.
Or, in the event an extremely dangerous lifeform has taken over the planet and threatens to spread, it may be destroyed.
***(HUMANS DO NOT COUNT FOR THIS.)***
Stars may only be destroyed using the aforementioned weapons by signatory nations if all bodies in orbit of them meet the aforementioned conditions, as well as their destruction being absolutely necessary. Independent Commanding Authorities within a range of 10 lightyears must also agree to the star's destruction.
## Chapter 3 - Regulations
> *'FUCK OFF! I'M ON LIVE TELLY! FUCK OFF OUT OF HERE! STAY OUT OF MY OFFICE! I'M ON TEL-FUCKING HELL! FUCK OFF YOU LITTLE TWAT! Sorry.'* -The Grand Admiral, after Twenzu entered his office during a live news report.
The aforementioned weapons are prohibited from use by signatory nations on any planets or orbital bodies failing to meet the criteria laid out in Chapter 2. Consequences will be covered in Chapter 4. Misfiring one of these weapons (or intentionally firing without meeting conditions) towards an orbital body is considered a war crime, unless you are testing it on an asteroid or manmade model that has been properly vacated (meaning that there are no known lifesigns on it besides contaminants that exist elsewhere).
## Chapter 4 - Consequences
> *'That is the most formal firing squad I've seen.'* -The Grand Admiral, after the Supreme Court of the Old Earth United States acted as a firing squad.
<!-- Possible chapter 4 v2-->
If one of the aforementioned weapons is used by a signatory force, and violation is obvious, then immediate action is allowed. Included within immediate actions is:
- Combatants of the violating craft are fully authorised to fire upon it.
- Crew are allowed to kill or throw the violating personnel off of the ship. This excludes those who did so accidentally with no intention of interacting with control. They still may be detained.
- Detainment of the violator.
Otherwise, the possibly violating craft and personnel, including those who authorised the firing of the weapon externally will be taken to an international court and whether the actions were in violation of this document will be decided upon. If it is decided that this was a violation, then:
- The violator may be detained by other forces if they cannot be detained by the otherwise responsible force or are allowed by the otherwise responsible force to be detained by another force.
- The violator must, if possible, be detained by the otherwise responsible force or others if allowed. If they are not detained by this force and no action has been taken to attempt to detain the violator or allow another force to detain the violator, or another force authorized by the authority of the violator, they may be detained by an unauthorized force and unless otherwise decided the authority of the violator will be considered to have allowed (or if decided by the court, authorized) by the violator to fire one of the aforementioned weapons.
- If the violator's current government was the one who authorized firing of the weapon or they allow the violator to continue without punishment, declaration of war is authorized. The war may be allowed to continue even if the responsible person(s) are no longer in any position within the violating government.
Weapons of higher yield than the weapon used may NOT be used against the violator.
