# High Crimes of the Nanotrasen Judicial System

A few new crimes have been added to the list in the time since Nanotrasen took over government, and a small amount are punishable with some of the strongest measures imaginable.

## Betrayal of the Human Race
*Betrayal of the Human Race is hereby declared to be taking any action that would, or would threaten to, cause the extinction or near-extinction of humanity or an allied species, or extreme damage to the universe. Betrayal of the Human Race is to be punished by immediate termination, with destruction of genetic data mandated.*
Treason against humanity is considered the highest crime in the modern judicial system, being brought up for only the highest acts of treason.

## Enemy of the Corporation
*An Enemy of the Corporation charge is only to be applied to military enemies of the Nanotrasen Corporation and its allies, and is punishable up to death. Misapplication will result in being convicted of Grand Treason.*
Due to Nanotrasen's status as the government of the Dome, many questioned the legal basis for its operation of a private military. The Enemy of the Corporation charge was created to allow Nanotrasen to deem their foes as worthy of a death sentence - although it is scarcely-applied, as its wording only allows it to be applied to enemy militaries. Grand Treason is a much more frequent charge.

## Grand Treason
*Grand Treason is to be defined as betrayal of the government and people of the Dome and its allies, and may be punished up to termination and destruction of genetic data.*
Grand Treason, while a lower grand crime, is still punishable by permanent death. It is applied to most antagonists, including Duolingo and the Trickster, and its wording changes with the settings.

## Prime Murder
*Prime Murder is to be defined as causing the death of any person without genetic data while being aware of this fact, or impeding the cloning of someone who has been murdered, regardless of if these efforts are taken before or after their death. This does not apply to legal permanent executions. This may be punished by termination and destruction of genetic data.*
Prime Murder is the highest form of Murder, given the invention of cloning technology. Attempting to impede efforts to clone someone - regardless of success - is deemed the highest form of murder, and will inevitably result in your crime being turned against you - and your death.

## Assault of an Admiral
*Assault of an Admiral is to be defined as causing death or injury to any member of the Nanotrasen Admiralty Board, and is to be punished by death. Attempting to destroy the genetic data of an Admiral is punishable by termination and destruction of genetic data.*
While not as high a form of treason as Grand Treason, the Admiralty Board have long been a prime target for traitors and antagonists since its founding, and have granted themselves legal protections only a level higher than the average civilian - while assault of a normal person is normally punished by a forced labour or prison sentence, assault of an Admiral will immediately have you put in front of a firing squad.
