# Physics
This article covers the physics (and some related things) of ultraseries, especially that which does not exist in real life such as particles which form nonexistent materials like phoron, bluespace and other spaces, portals, etc. It also includes theoretical things which become definite in ultraseries such as hyperdrives and wormholes, and maybe others. Do please note what is and is not known by who, to avoid confusion (e.g. something is defined here but is not mentioned in ultra, however no-one mentions who knows this so all parties seemingly suddenly find it out with no mention of actual discovery.)
## Bluespace
Bluespace is used for a multitude of things, such as relays, beacons, teleportation, and FTL travel. This will be elaborated on in future versions of the document, however I do not posess much knowledge on Space Station 13, so I can't say much.

-basically a dimensional weakpoint in a rock that can be manipulated to teleport or send radio signals
-if broken, it just teleports you a short distance, but if fired at you from a musket before Nanotrasen's founding, you get teleported into bluespace itself
### Alternatives
It should be noted that both teleportation and FTL are accomplished via other means as well, with teleportation being done via the telenetwork along with a plethora of rifts and wormholes, and FTL being done by the warping of space, and possibly through something involving purple liquid, but this may only be in BFAC and twenzu hasn't really confirmed.
## Energy Shields
Energy shields are a form of defense, not made of physical material like conventional defense systems. They are deployed through zero points or shield generators, with both having different properties.
### Generator Shields
Generator shields are made using shield generators, and can be made in a multitude of modes.
#### Deflection Shields
Deflection shields, the most common and easy to produce type, keep things out of it, deflecting most shots. Electromagnetic energy can pass outside it, however at greater frequency and amount, it cannot pass back in. (This explains the usual transparency of shields being in spite of their ability to deflect outside laser fire.)
#### Absorption Shields
Absorption shields hold second place in both regards, absorbing the energy of things which make contact with it. If a bullet hits an absorption shield, that bullet will slow down and fall. Although some rigs don't use this energy, it can be taken advantage of. They can be considered a tweaked form of jammer technology, as signals passing in and out are weakened.
### Zero-Point Shields
Zero-Points produce a large, usually blue shield in the shape of a half-spheroid, which keeps things both in and out.

## Rifts, Wormholes, and Portals
### ASHPD
The first proper wormhole projector ever produced, made by Aperture Science in the late 1950s as a large backpack energy projector. Renowned for how absolutely shit its reliability was, for weighing a ton, and often contains a miniaturised black hole to aid the device in rift generation. A majority of examples that exist today are deactivated (black hole removed) and stored in museums, with only 5 functional units in existence - all in the Megabase's vaults. Handling these requires a license due to the volatility of the device's integrated black holes, and even some functional units are stored deactivated as a safety precaution.

### Hyperdrive Using Warp Juice (Unconfirmed, may only be BFAC)
### Bluespace Drives
Causes a ship to hop in and out of bluespace between two predetermined points, requiring a sufficiently-sized relay. Large enough ships, such as the **DECANONISED** NTSV Sapiens, have to travel directly through bluespace, as no relays existed with the capacity to actually relocate the ship - adding a notable amount of travel time. Emits blue smoke on arrival, often forming "blue nebulas" on frequent bluespace travel lanes.

### Big Lasers That Magically Explode Celestial Bodies (BLTMECB)
Nanotrasen's favourite weapons system.
For planet cracking, it works by projecting large amounts of energy across the equator (or vertical equator or whatever the term for that is), causing it to completely evaporate or otherwise destroy atomic bonds. For stars, it causes rapid exhaustion of solar fuel by destroying said fuel. These also include inbuilt energy recovery modules to reduce the impact of any resulting supernovas. Partially powered by bluespace bullshittery.
### Ballistics
Put explosives in tube. Put aerodynamic thing in front of tube. Put tube in bigger, longer tube. Explode explosives. Aerodynamic thing go forward. Aerodynamic thing fucking kills someone and spreads their brain matter across the floor.
