### Jesters Reboot?

- Travis Wyche stepping aside
- Bau is also feeling he is spread too thin
- Maintaining a connection to paladins will be helpful for execution
- UberHAUS reboot is taking a lot of focus, we should track this
- Good opportunity to figure out what the Jester could be
- Once we figure out the role we can open up to others to help achieve aims
- Double dipping can be useful as a way of spreading out skillsets
- Lots of contributors are going to run into this problem

### Sanctioned or Unsanctioned?

- Should we make a proposal (on chain) to make Jesters official?
- Create runway to define work and ask for funding when we have confidence in delivery
- We haven't given delegates a chance to tell us not to do what we're doing
- Minimal deliverables can be proposed and carried out at that point
- Decision is to go the sanctioned route

### Modest expectations

- What is the Jester and what does it do?
- Report has risen to the top of this pile
- Should the Jester communicate via long form written articles?
- What and why UberHAUS reboot?
- What were the real failures of original conception of UberHAUS?
- We are tasked with communicating the shared understanding of failings and future direction
- We aren't the experts to propose solutions, but just bring up obvious elephants in the room
- Expose power, point out fallacies
- Worry is that people won't be irritated but become complacent

### UberHAUS v0 retrospective report

- First deliverable is this report from the Jester's perspective
- Referring to actual problems will help with solutions from other groups
- Mechanism for meeting and voting isn't enough, there needs to be space to communicate and mingle

Suggestions for Jesters (what could we do?)

Find ways to tease out / illuminate the complexity of the hospitality relationship.
1. (Jesters as architects?)

Design generative spaces where delegates can interact, think, talk, and collaborate (Are the UH delegate calls the only shared space for this currently? What other shared spaces for interaction can we envision?).
Think of ways for delegates to get to know eachother in a more honest way (Framing questions).
Complementing warcamp’s effort on setting up the mechanisms for mutual financial incentives between DAOs, Jesters could take initiative to carve out spaces and processes for building shared understanding, and prompting reflection between delegates, about who and what UH is or could be, as a first step towards DAOs collaborating more deliberately with each other. Or at least we can point to the urgency for the creation of such spaces.

The power of Metaphor

Coming back to the initial Jester prompt for findng ways of artisticaly representing the UH mirror that @TravisWyche has written about more extensively.

Jesters stramline operations as a comittee to comission and fund / support un-marketing initiatives within the UH/DH ecosystem that advance the Jester’s objectives and generate collective value for UH (from Jesters opinionated POV), while also cultivating a space for imaginative and divergent conversations.
Would require that we define the scope and what forms of support it could offer beyond funding (loot), and to think about ways to provoke proposals that we consider interesting.
For example:

Art projects that respond to and are inspired by the kinds of questions and topics that keep the Jesters awake at night.
Un-marketing initiatives (surveys, reports, user stories, publications)
Other Jests and divergences
