--- tags: UberHaus --- # Blatant Problem of UberHaus governance & engagement ### - [Section E: DAO Working Group Structure](https://hackmd.io/@ceresbzns/Hkisk7WWc) ### Jesters ### Current Needs - declaration / report - unveiling transgressions (warcrimes) - One proposal for the creation of jesters as a formal workstream - Second proposal with a report on all of this stuff - Creation of UberHaus was flawed - people were forced in as it wasn't an opt-in *airdropping into a DAO does not work* - Relationship between <> UH & WC - no incentive for WarCamp to get input on the product side from delegates - need to be asking for input from UH - UberHaus isn't providing much guidance to Warcamp - Incentives for DAOs are not there ### Problem is between WC and Governance - No more RatHaus? - Warcamp adding more complexity - Adding obscurity to the blatant problem that needs to be solved How do delegates interact vs RatHaus (peoples DAO - HAUS holders) - HAUS token holders staking on worthy initiatives - Delegates from UberHaus could select initiatives representative of the DAO they are in. - maybe through a snafesnap kind of thing with DAOshares to back it ### The unsexy things - how to prioritize these items - teams could boost their own priority by tackling the dirty work - boost priority by doing the dirty work - how to check or verify that people are doing the dirty work and boost their position in the list of priority items **How bug fixes can shed a light on this** ### Kickback for folks who put in the work - retroactive rewards for folks who help facilitate the priorities list ### Need a way to manage the HAUS and Uncirculating supply - Retroactive rewards from UberHaus to delegates - As a delegate you want to stake as your DAO into the different initiatives while remaining staked in UberHaus as a delegate ##### v3 ideas - HAUS is an ERC20 - Stake your HAUS into Baal - Get vHAUS (derivative token) - Stake the vHAUS for power to curate priority list of projects ##### How to solve the intermediate goals of UberHaus? - 5 ETH to support hammering out these processes and solidifying the model. - How can we open this roadmap / model design up to UberHaus ##### Building for composability and Emergence - enabling teams to be able to build what they want on the DAOhaus platform without needing the help of Warcamp - component library - bolt-ons - etc. Separating the treasury layer and the governance layer - allowing you to compose your DAO how you like - for any safe that currently exists, they could add on the moloch framework without needing to use the treasury layer associated with moloch *** ## * *James notes* ### Observations drawing mostly from the latest UH delegates call: Can add to the Jesters report, and some thoughts To focus more on connections between DAOs, ways of making DAOs successful. More structure in reaching out to delegates. Better communication. (liaison?). Improve delegate awareness of processes. Ways of representing delegates POV. Structuring into groups. Expectations arent known, Incentives arent known. Potential impact of delegates isnt known. Contributions can fall flat. Networks can be transformative, be more spontaneously creative and adaptable than hierarchical systems...the hard thing is that networks are not easily directed towards common objectives . To overcome this, ways can be designed that forge connections across divides, spread information and learnings, inspire, create new experiences. "Τhe very precondition of hospitality may require that,in some ways, both the host and the guest accept, in diferent ways, the uncomfortable and sometimes painful possibility of being changed by the other" ### Suggestions for Jesters (what could we do?) *Jest / Response: Find ways to tease out / illuminate the complexity of the hospitality relationship. **1. *(Jesters as architects?)*** - Design generative spaces where delegates can interact, think, talk, and collaborate (Are the UH delegate calls the only shared space for this currently? What other shared spaces for interaction can we envision?). Think of ways for delegates to get to know eachother in a more honest way ([Framing questions](https://www.converge.net/toolkit/framing-questions)). - Complementing warcamp's effort on setting up the mechanisms for mutual financial incentives between DAOs, Jesters could take initiative to carve out spaces and processes for building shared understanding, and prompting reflection between delegates, about who and what UH is or could be, as a first step towards DAOs collaborating more deliberately with each other. Or at least we can point to the urgency for the creation of such spaces. **2. *(Jesters as artists?)*** *The power of Metaphor* - Coming back to the initial Jester prompt for findng ways of artisticaly representing the UH mirror that @TravisWyche has written about more extensively. **3. *(Jesters as curators?)*** *(make Jester's existential crisis systemic)* Jesters stramline operations as a comittee to comission and fund / support un-marketing initiatives within the UH/DH ecosystem that advance the Jester's objectives and generate collective value for UH (from Jesters opinionated POV), while also cultivating a space for imaginative and divergent conversations. Would require that we define the scope and what forms of support it could offer beyond funding (loot), and to think about ways to provoke proposals that we consider interesting. For example: - Art projects that respond to and are inspired by the kinds of questions and topics that keep the Jesters awake at night. - Un-marketing initiatives (surveys, reports, user stories, publications) - Other Jests and divergences *In general I feel like we need to commit to a functional definition what the position and role of Jester is. Scope of work, roles and deliverables. Getting from ideas & conversations to execution. Be the first to practice what we preach.*🃏
