## Race mechanics

You place down a magic circle every 15 minutes and then you can get short term buffs off of your own circle by standing on it and casting buffs on YOURSELF (identical buffs dont stack, but adding 2 versions that do stack for some stuff might be ok).
Idk how you would draw the magic circle might make it if you have the ability and arent in a circle it tries to make one and if you are in one it makes the buffs
Another question I'm thinking is make elfs weaker by default (e.g slower or less tanky) to force them to use buffs to decide which downside they want to mitigate.
Maybe allow creating of buff presets that run on a loop like in the clip above would be decent qol? Or cap it at 5 active elf buffs? How long should it last, like 5 minutes each? 3 second cast time per "normal" buff, support buffs like engi skill can take longer? be careful of tedium here
### Why this is interesting for marines
Gives marines a VERY customizable and flexible race to play (that is maybe weaker without those same buffs). Circle means you also need to return to it occasionally and can get some risk management with how long you spend out from.
### Why this is interesting for xenos
Xenos can try to flank out to target the circles as part of support structure, and the high cd on circles means that rushing forward inherently can mean less buffs and down the push so really effective buff combos can shoot themselves in the foot when winning too hard.
Might be annoying if speed ups or whatever are abused by stacking, so should avoid that
Very important here is to avoid immunity to things: antihugger buff, antistun, etc
## Buff examples
- Movement speed increase
- Increased weapon skills
- Deafness immunity
- Increased accuraccy
- Decreased scatter
- Toxin damage taken reduction
- Long cast, engi/construction skill
- Temp shield à la arrowhead that doesnt regen? But slows you down idk
- Faster stam regen
- Purge ALL chems buff while active
- if going with downsides by default buffs to mitigate those like damage resist
