# Scope of Bazzite Docs Revision Infinity

### Reduce docs in scope in a major update, keep it less "Linuxy":

- Remove tags, authors, and embedded link images
- Remove poor quality images, retake them if necessary
- Cleanup, organize, or remove 'desktop tweaks'
- Reorganize 'installing software' with the primary method being through bazaar then homebrew, containers (distrobox, quadlet), appimage, rpm-ostree
- ujust scripts / bazzite portal mentioned as a special priority, but since it can encompass installing software, system maintainence, and an additional option/settings menu then it will not exactly be "first" (it will be 0)
- "Introduction to Bazzite" --> "Getting Started" on home page
- Social Platforms --> Community (remove most links to things like Steam, Mastodon, etc.)
- Move application/utility guides (like ScopeBuddy, ZeroTier, VPNs, etc.) to installing "specific" software
- Maybe a suggestion at the top of this doc that says you need to bind the desktop controls through Steam first.
- Fix up installation guide slightly especially if outdated
- Link Hardware Compat Guide in new Installation Guide
- Link Universal Blue's contributing guidelines for Contributing
- Warning in install alternate guide (silverblue rebasing) that you can't switch back
- Also let Kyle know to just link this guide on the website so people know to switch to a signed image since that step is missing from the main website!
- Rename "Development"category to "Development eXperience" and link to https://dev.bazzite.gg/.
- Steam Launch Options, Mangohud, Scaling etc
- Do NOT call this "Advanced Gaming Guide" since its confusing
- Link "Video Guides" --> https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuiT7cNvThNC956b5rtSPCjwcHe2tKBmY to main nav bar

### Phase II

**Note**: The literal paths will NOT be changed so links don't break AND stuff that will be moved later on, will be moved later on. Looking Glass is going to show up OUTSIDE of the ADVANCED GUIDES later on.

- Handheld+HTPC section revamp [o]
- Software+Update guide revamp
- Index page will be like general/advanced/gaming index with another doc that serves as an 'introduction' that is similar to the current page.
- Updates/Rollbacks are going to be on this page too!
- SVGs will have to be updated to reflect different, opinionated text
- Containers section need to be defined as "Containers: Distrobox Containers" and "Containers: Quadlet Services".
- Move away from specific software guide, but move artis, zerotier, etc. in community resources.
- Quadlet examples can stay but towards the end as "examples".
- on intro guide: put windows applications using lutris and link to gaming guide
- Installation guide revamp based on new installer
- Change up "index/main page" (only slightly, keep it mostly the same as-is)

### Phase III

- Fix credits grammatical mistakes and add remaining current contributors to list
- Remove tags.md
- New images
- Remove unused images in the img directory
- Fix scaling of some images
- Keep handheld wiki entries but maybe use proper, generic handheld photos
- Fix known issues
