--- tags: Origin Stories --- # UberHaus Origin Proposal - `Updated` [RaidGuild Proposal](https://hackmd.io/NXrYbBAOQIuCD9vOFiTY5g) ## Background UberHaus proclaims to be the DAO of DAOs, but what does this mean exactly? What is the unique uber vision of the federated DAO ecosystem that this community wishes to put forth? Does the community understand why UberHaus was summoned, who participates in its activities, and what the DAO seeks to accomplish? What do DAO delegates wish to manifest through these coordination efforts? While diverging on the development of internal branding and market strategies, we discussed that it would be best to hear from the DAO delegates themselves and let them determine the lore/narrative/mythos of the most Uber of Hauses. ## Problem: UberHaus Must Articulate It's Own Purpose - It’s hard for new DAOs to figure out where they fit in while onboarding to the DAOhaus platform - Current delegates and haus builders have invaluable advice, but no easy way to share it - There’s a disparity between UH’s internal idealistic conversations and it’s external comm’s. There’s a wealth of eclectic and down-to-earth personalities within the DAO and we want to shine a light on the inclusive human-elements of the DAO ## Solution: UH Delegate Interview Marketing Machine - Create a working group that can schedule, interview, transcribe, and publish interviews with UH delegates. This helps them share their advice, DAO story, hopes/desires for UH & unique contributions to the community. - Reduce that barrier to entry and help newcomers, especially those with less traditional paths or experiences, feel welcome within the haus. - Spread the gospel of righteous DH tooling and the UH federation to imbibe a strong sense of internal cohesion and community ## Deliverables * Interviews with UH delegates, uncovering their DAOs identity/purpose and illuminating their onboarding experiences to DAOhaus (see questions below) * A new appendage to the website (see MVP of a similar [RaidGuild Origin Stories project](https://raidguild-origins.vercel.app/) * An internal repository of interviews that might be referenced by members interested in synthesizing the research for internal ops, applying to external client applications, or simply clarifying the evolving vision of UH * High-quality marketing content to broadcast on UH social channels * Stories of Successful DAO collaborations * A newsletter to discuss the project and relay essential information that we discuss in delegate meeting to be broadcast to the ecosystem - Related social channel might be included - Regular interviews with DAO delegates utilizing an **open-source script, a living document that will be dynamically updated to represent current UH delegate ideas.** TW will admin this doc. Delegates will be able to async comment and contribute. - Interview content will be formatted, cleaned up, and broadcast via: - Mirror? - Substack? - Medium? - Hosted locally on a new UH site, styled, built by RaidGuild according to the loose specs outlined above? * Provide delegates with an articulated framework to approach talking with DAOs not already on DAOhaus ## Methodology Overview * Gather interviewees, provide an introduction to the project, supplementary docs, schedule meetings, manage contributors. The early iterations standardize best practices for future contributors to follow. * Gather sentiments from delegates through internal UH delegate meetings and formulate the main sentiments into further questions for future interviews. * UberPaladins diverge on larger scope/vision, condense into proposals, define scope/budget. Hand off to raid party to execute the narrowly defined deliverables * The rough transcription is edited, polished, delivered in markdown for easy integration. * Designer creates MVP, integrates UH design system. Role is complete after delivering MVP * Dev integrates into the existing UH website. Role is complete after CMS is setup * Enlist a Ranger from DAOhaus to Integrate content and learnings from the community in a coherent manner, nuggets of information distributed to UberHaus Delegates * Marketer refines material and distributes thru other outlets (social media, podcasts, DH/UH newsletter, etc.) * Expand to UX research initiative: identify users, craft personnas, illustrate user flows, map the constellation of UH DAO members * Gather Supplementary Materials from UberHaus Delegates and interviewees to showcase on UberHaus website * Create cultural feedback mechanisms so we can consider what kinds of content we are putting out into the ecosystem and why, to conduct our own narrative of how we refer to Uberhaus. ## Interview Questions (Mutable) - [Working Script](https://hackmd.io/ygyS0i3kSKS7SCuUa1At8g?both) *I propose that these questions are crowdsourced from the UH community and that they remain a living document, shifting dynamically as the DAO continues to articulate its brand and agenda.* ## [Proposal From RaidGuild](https://hackmd.io/NXrYbBAOQIuCD9vOFiTY5g) ##### Milestone #1: Proof of Work - We already have content from Zayi, Nick, Dekan, and Bau. Early 2022, Bau will interview Travis about MolochDAO and grandiose Uberhaus visions. First thing in January we will return to this work and begin releasing. - Retroactive compensation based on shipping content? Who cares, let's do this! ##### Milestone #2: Infrastructure - Set up a work stream, schedule, etc., to ensure a steady flow of content. - Continue to identify new DAO delegates to interview - Onboard delegates into the haus, *especially those that are interested in contributing to this initiative* - Provide a clear budget/articulation of compensation flow in relation to value created, via a superfluid flow? How does it present itself to the world? - A postmodern reflective mirror structure that obscure what is inside? - Hundertwasser-style building, represents the will of the people, brings the inside outside? - Bauhaus, a structure of pure formal potential, but striving for total objective neutrality? This is where we currently are, but neutrality can be dangerous. DAOhaus is the Bauhaus, but what is Uberhaus? - What we are reaching for is a constantly evolving set of style that is cool and inviting while also representing the dynamic community as it exists at any given moment. **Uberhaus is Archigram! If we're not careful we will fall in! - This initiative is driven to understand that the mirror-pool is a reflection, an unreal world. We exist on the shoreline, still perplexed by our own identity. We must not succumb to the deception of our image. - Another fear is that we become Nietzsche's *Übermensch*, an evolution of humanity with tyrannical powers, the epitome of total agency and unchecked free will - I humbly propose that we consider a disposition of self-reflection, a composure that allows us to change our own world-view. Donna Haraway challenges us to consider **a shift from the Anthropocene to the Chthulucene,** a perspectives that does not seek to dominate other entities or to be consumed by them, but to appreciate the essential embeddedness of the actors. Let's make kin!
