# The revamp plan
## What is changing?
- ### House Fire System
- Whilst the Fire System does work now, the code has become quite messy and therefore not very maintainable for future additions. The current fire hose is from all the way in 2018 and wasn't exactly updated from its core (fm inspired too).
- This code will most likely will change but mostly will be revised to accomodate the new system.
- ### Fire Hose
- Old, not very efficient, breaks arms in the process; mentally and virtually.
- A new Fire Hose has been made using the FastCast module which has been to be a better option from abreviated testing.
- ### How you get notified
- The way you get notified for fires is *fine* but we can do better to improve the UX by having a more intuitive UI as well as designing it to be adaptive for mobile players (hopefully).
## What is the proposed new features?
- ### Improving Fire Station interaction
My thoughts are to give more of an incentive to be at your station to wait for calls (if the firefighter wants to). This gives the firefighter more options and more angles to how they want to play the game. More seasoned players would want to play the game whereby they wait for calls which also attracts our enthusiast community.
- #### "Command centre" room
Whilst my knowledge on Fire Service is lacklustered; my assumption is there is a dedicated room to receive calls through some sort of pager machine. We can try to adapt this for a more modern variation if needed.
- #### Active alarm system
This is feeding on for realism. As per, the alarms go off when there is a call received.
- #### WigWags
Who doesn't like a WigWag? This is for aestheitc purposes but improves the UX
- #### Functioning, animated doors
An animated fire door would be great to have. Probably will have to ask "mind" who's done some of our animations before to give us a hand. This is again aiding realism and interaction in the game
- ### Appliance enhancements
This is mostly a thing which we have to do for most vehicles, but we can put more time into the current fire appliances. Whether that is tuning or finding audio for certain mechanics as well as the engine itself
- #### More realistic pump
I have discussed this with Norman with how we can improve this and a blue handle to activate the pump can be helped greatly.
This can also include having a limited pump supply which can be replenished back at the station (this is something I'd probably want to do a bit later)
- #### Tweaked ALP
Whilst the ALP is a great vehicle, we can make some improvements from the UI point of view to having the boom to come out to stablise the truck
- #### Variable pressure hose
Variable pressure on the Fire Hose tool to simulate lower pressure of water to help save the appliance's tank or having higher pressure to reach hard to reach places.
- ### Callout UI
This is something I want Fire Service to use first of all before expanding for other Emergency Services.
This can start as a tool for the Fire Service and expand for all teams which would need to deal with calls such as the EMS and Highways England.
In terms of the Police teams who have tablets, it can be integrated as another tab there.
- Aim would be to make an intuitive interface (and nice looking too). You can actively see who is at the scene of the incident and/or who is going to attend it.
These are my propositions, I'm very much open to suggestions and feedback. Whether it is doing a certain feature in a particular way to achieve something or something else completely.
If there is a lack of feedback or I'm not being accosted to, I'll assume that this plan is fine and will go ahead. Your feedback is *very much appreciated*.
