Concodeit Research Design === ## (Potential) Research Questions * **Question 1**: How effective is Concodeit in providing a simplistic development environment for ROS developers? && expressivisity? * Independent variables: * Novice (142 students) vs. Expert (Developed 2+ projects with ROS?) * Concodeit vs. ROS * Dependent variables: * How many times asked for help (and how complex the instruction was) * How many lines/constructs it took to code a certain task * Amount of time it took to code out some task * Number of survey questions answered correctly (in this case, users would have a fixed amount oftime with a Concodeit/ROS tutorial before taking the survey) * One other test we can run is to see at what point does concodeit become less simple than just coding. In other words, does concodeit become less usable when we deal with more complex tasks and constructs? Survey users Likert scale Based on other research papers we read, we learned that blockly, customprograms, and codeit have good expressivisity and is very simple to pick up and use.
