# Product / Feature Ideas ## Pinned Twts As a Pod Owner it _might_ be necessary to have some Twts pinned to every user's timeline. For example; a new feature, competition, event or some other important information that all users need to know. The only social-media platform that does something like this (_that I'm aware of_) is Github™ with "Pinned Repositories" on User Profiles. The idea here would be two-fold: - Allow a Pod Operator to pin one or more Twts to teh top of everyone's timeline with a visual indicator. - Allow users to ping one or more Twts to their Profile Page as a way of promoting some content they either have published or want to share with others. ## Messages / Chat As a user of Twt.social I sometimes find myself wanting to send a message to someone I'm interacting with in Twt Conversations. Many other social media platforms have this kind of feature. Twitter™ called it "Direct Messages". Facebook™ has Messenger™. We (Twt.social) _could_ have a messaging system that _could_ be based itself around Twtxt feeds with public key cryptography used to encrypt the contents of the messages and ensure authenticity. ## Parent supervised Pods Parent supervised Pods for children under the age of 18. The basic idea here is that children who wish to participate in "Social Media" should be able to do so without fear of being bullied, harassed or abused by those that would prey on children. As a parent (_myself_), Facebook/TikTok/Twitter are banned at the Network level (_for good reason_) and are not permitted to be used. Some feature level ideas: - A parent would create a "supervised" Pod for their children and their children's friends. - This "supervised" Pod would be like any other with only _one_ exception - Users on this Pod are only allowed to Discover and FOllow other users whose Pods are also "Supervised". - Conversely non-Supervised Pods are not allowed to communicate with users of a Supervised Pod, and such Supervised Pods are never allowed to (_by design_) fetch feeds from non-Supervised Pods. Think of this as a rather large (_hopefully_) "walled garden" network of Twtxt Pods whose members are only children and parents.
