# H1 2022 Update - Protocol Guild

Here's a summary of progress made during H1 2022. Thank you to everyone that contributed to accomplish this impressive list! We will be hosting a community call in the next two weeks, please check the discussion in the PG discord to help us choose a time.

**Operations**

- acquired and set theprotocolguild.eth to resolve to the Pilot Vesting Contract
- regularly communicated proposal updates through the Stateful Works and PG twitter accounts
- prepared for the next Split update in August
- created a [diagram](https://protocol-guild.readthedocs.io/en/latest/3-smart-contract.html) to describe how actors interact with the contracts + flow of funds
- helped to create a number of [media resources](https://protocol-guild.readthedocs.io/en/latest/10-resources.html) (podcasts, conference presentations) for the community to learn about PG, including [this presentation](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVN97qA4gBs&list=PLhuBigpl7lqvMt8d7h4sbCmra9KbFmAdg) from "Funding the Commons" in June

- best for smaller donations outside of the Pilot, or regular periodic contributions
- the contributions vesting contract feeds directly into this split
- funds sent to this contract will not vest, and be immediately available for withdrawal by the core contributors listed in the contract
- this contract is updated quarterly with the latest membership and weights

**Governance Proposals: secured ~$5mm towards the Pilot**

- Failed: 2mm CRV from Curve Finance. approached through the wrong funding mechanism ([forum](https://gov.curve.fi/t/proposal-to-fund-the-protocol-guild-pilot-via-a-vefunder-gauge/3032) discussion)

**Other Funding**

- Last Gitcoin round in GR13 we raised ~30k DAI. We plan to swap for ETH and used to reimburse gas for anyone that disperses funds from the vesting contract to the Split, or from the Split to individual members. We expect this (and the first membership update to the split) will give us a much better idea of what our monthly gas budget should be. Gas costs for deployment were much cheaper than expected
- The ~50k raised in GR14 will be added directly to the Pilot Vesting Contract as ETH
