# Google Optimize
The installation and implementation of Optimize brings up a few questions that might require some thought before deciding, since there's going to be some additional resources needed in order to make usage of the A/B testing functionallity
## Some things to keep in mind
* Optimize **Relies** on Analytics, this isn't currently included in the app
We could include it within Google Tag Manager, since it would allow us to add both analytics and Optimize

* Implement an experiment with it's different variations within react
There's some sample code that i sent to Tyler, reach out to him or me to discuss it.
* There isn't any analytic specific tracks currently to measure success of an experiment, this might be some overhead.
## Optimize Console
### Targeting and variants setup:
I set up a login page with it's colors changed to blue

### Page Targeting
I pointed my experiment to my ngrok url, you can use different conditions to make a complex targeting rule, i didn't go too much in depth in this feature

### Measurement and objectives
This is the part where i feel we could improve a lot on. I linked the experiment to an empty analytics account just to make it run. Although importing audiences is a paid feature, you can use pretty much everything else in your experiments.

### Settings
The Optimize Installation check is really useful during implementation

It also provides an extension, which lets you set up experiments with a web based editor, i played around with it for a little bit, but i'm not sure to what degree it would provide value to us
