# Double-crossing Salary policy in Dev Circle

Proposing a new policy to use in Dev Circle instead of Salary Policy: [Subsidized Crew (aka "Dev Multisig Heist")](/Uvk8o8rJTgGmdQXJYgkHMA)

The idea is to provide a subsidy to peeps willing to work full time on the project, but worrying about the basic needs. The subsidy is supposed to limit a downside for the working peep, while the upside is still unlimited (ahem, to the limit of total amount of money in multisig 😆)

## Why it is better then Salary Policy

- Simpler to understand.
- Easier to apply — no voting needed, no need to wait for Governance.
- Decision makers are clearly specified.
- Decision process is simple and partially assisted by robots 🤖.
- No restiction on crew size. Many people can apply

## Yet

- Allows to earn the same $ as Salary Policy.
- Meritocratic as well — do the work and get your subsidy, no questions asked.

## Extra Governance

Add **Subsidy Accountant** Role
- **Purpose:** awareness for Subsidy Crew about money situation
- **Accountabilities:**
- making sure there is always enough money in Multisig to subsidize all the current crew members
- alerting peeps in #20_d_for_development once the balance of Multisig goes below `total subsidy amount + 4000 SAI`
