# Mastermind Meeting #8 Board 040 ## Weekly Wins - James: James and Wiktor talked about James starting a new business or agency. This week James considered the new business could be selling paintings online. Researching possibilities. - Eoin: Got motion.page and starting to get the hang of it. Feels pretty straightforward. - Wiktor - Tom: ## Sales Hot Seat (EOIN) - Tom: Building an art website. - Eoin: - James feedback: Handled it with confidence and grace. - Stuck to his guns on price - James: Artist who has not sold his paintings online. Would like to integrate social media channels. New up and coming artist. - Eoin: Do you have photos of all of your work? And what is the average cost of your work? How are you positioning yourself in the market? - James: All of my pieces are unique, but if you buy the original that's one price versus a print of the original which is much less expensive. - Eoin: Can set up an eCommerce solution. Will this be a print on demand situation? - James: Yes, I work with a 3rd party to do fulfillment. - Eoin: How about we use a contact form so that people can reach out about purchasing the original? - James: it would be nice if they could buy the original online too. - James: How does the shop get charged? Does it matter how many products or paintings I sell? - James: if the amount of products is more than 10, then we charge an fee for that. - James: How long does it take to build a site? - Eoin: 60 days for ecommerce websites. Reviews and design can take longer if they are excessive. - Eoin: Can set up hosting or make a recommendation? - James: What are the benchmarks that we can use to determine good performance? - Eoin: Without a website what is your average rate of sales? If we sold 5 artpieces in 60 days would that be a win? - James: Yes, that works. - James: Feedback-It's better to have a different funnel to sell originals was awesome. It delivered value for somethings that are more expensive. - Tom: What was the idea behind charging more - Eoin: Has seen and done research that shows charging per amount of products is a thing. ## Conclusion Eoin handled all of the questions with confidence and grace. There were only a small amount of topics he could have expanded on. That said, it's safe to say that Eoin is a natural sales person with a knack for thinking quickly on his feet. ## Next Week Wiktor is in the sales hot seat. If he can't make it then Tom will fill in.
