# Mastermind Meeting #3 Team 040 ## Weekly Wins 1. **James:** averaging 1 site per week converting them into Frames from Elementor. 2. **Eoin:** Business website nearly ready to launch! 3. **Tom** learned how to use auto-layout in Figma which helped refine my design flow while in Figma. 4. **Wiktor:** Finishing a website and snagged 2 potential new clients. ## Accountability Check-in (James) Converted a live site from Frames to Figma. Transferred 95% without problems. Still not ready to send the designer the job because the requirements are unclear. Wiktor suggested that he have a 10minute meetup with the designer to discuss the requirements. Tom suggested that perhaps the designer could send requirements from another client as an example of what he's expecting. ## Hot Seat (Eoin) **Eoin has developed his portfolio website and is asking for feedback.** ### Feedback from the group 1. CTA Should be more like something about booking a consultation. 2. The design is nice and bold, strong color palette. 3. Indicate how many steps are in the form 4. Overlap on Web Design Process is a nice touch, but because of the shapes of the buttons in your UI, it looks like a button 5. Try using a contrasting font for your body copy. 6. Picture in step 2 on process page could be stronger. 7. Use illustrations to help tell your story 8. Missing steps to get a desired result, what steps should a user take? 10. Put services under testimonials 11. Our process 12. Double check your breakpoints, line lengths are too long, images are too big because the column is snapping into single column layout too soon. (Resolved, but images are distorting) 13. Perhaps think about packaging up some of your services (Pricing) 14. Experiment with making the shadows more subtle and see if that doesn't make it look a little more elegant 15. Try reducing the size of your logo a bit and see if that improves the design 16. The site is a little bit static try working with some scroll triggers and see if you can think of any other ways to make the site more interactive. 17. The form is very nicely designed, but try to indicate how many steps are involved with the form. 18. Experiement with a different font or just a lighter version of the same face for answers. 19. Try redirecting the form to a thank you page upon submit or eliminate the widow on the thank you message try adding some kind of graphic treatment to make the successful submit message more obvious. 20. Suggestion: remove or add rounded corners on the hover state of your main menu. If you decide to remove the boxes, think of a new way to create a hover state, color, underlines etc. 21. Try changing up your CTA's a bit, book a consultation seems like a calendar type thing. Specifically the "tell us about your project CTA" 22. Check out TypeWolf to see if you find a nice face to compliment your H1s 23. See if you can weave in some illustration to add interest visual impact to your heroes 24. Don't forget to spell check your content, some sentences are missing periods, etc. Example: UI Design blurb is missing a period.** 25. Below the front page hero, "higher Google ranking could be part of services" Can services be merged with the latest work OR perhaps move it down on the page 27. Could your value prop be we focus on your objectives 28. Group agreed that the site is off to a fantastic start! Good job Eoin! **Eoin struggled most with content and generating layouts** **FAQs are a strong and useful element** **Note Tom added a few additional suggestions upon further review (I struggle with thinking quickly on my feet)** ## Eoin's Plan of Action 1. Work on the list of items given during feedback. ## From the chat Tom 11:52 AM https://www.typewolf.com/poppins ## Link to the recorded meeting https://tldv.io/app/meetings/6320c4ac81d9b40014f956a7 ## Other resources https://illlustrations.co/ https://undraw.co/illustrations https://blush.design/ https://drawkit.com/ https://lukaszadam.com/illustrations https://getillustrations.com/illustration-packs https://getillustrations.com/ https://www.humaaans.com/
