# Participating projects - PyCon US Mentored Sprints

## Guidelines on choosing an issue to work on

:pencil: When you decide to work on an issue that is listed below or tagged with a `mentored-sprints` label, please comment on the issue that you are working on it. This lets others know you are working on this issue and prevents folks from stepping onto others' toes.

The issues here have been curated by the project mentors and are **beginner-to-intermediate-friendly issues**. Most of these issues are actionable and should be complex enough to be completed during the sprint.

:sparkles: If you want to take on something a little more challenging, you can have a look at the issues on the main project's repo and/or chat with the mentors

:wink: If you spot an issue or bug when working on the projects go ahead an open an issue on the corresponding repository
