# Time The fundamental unit of game time is a **Tick**. A Tick takes approximately 1 second of real time. When you use the Break Time app to drink Coffee or Tea, the ratio of game time to real time will increase or decrease accordingly (for example after a single drink of Coffee, a Tick will take 2 seconds of real time). One in-game **Hour** takes 25 Ticks. One in-game **Day** takes 24 in-game Hours, or 600 Ticks, or 10 minutes of real-time at the default speed.
