Pittsburgh announced on the 22nd (Korea Standard Time) that it has selected Bonds as the 2024 Pirates Hall of Fame inductee.

Bonds was drafted by the Pirates with the sixth overall pick in the 1985 draft and began his professional career.

Bonds is one of the legends of the MLB. From 1986 to 2007, he hit 762 home runs in his career, trailing the Pittsburgh Pirates and the San Francisco Giants, ranking No. 1 in all-time home runs.

He has also won many awards, including seven MVP awards, 12 silver sluggers, eight Golden Gloves, and 14 All-Star awards.

In terms of performance alone, he is fully qualified to enter the MLB Hall of Fame selected by the American Baseball Journalists Association (BBWAA), but he was repeatedly frustrated because he was suspected of taking banned drugs when he was active.

Pittsburgh, however, decided to place Bonds in the club's Hall of Fame in honor of his achievements.

Bonds batted .275 with an on-base percentage of .380 with a slugging percentage of .503 176 homers, 556 RBIs and 251 steals in 1010 games in seven seasons with Pittsburgh.

Bonds is the only Pittsburgh player who has recorded 175 home runs and 200 steals at the same time.

During this period, he was named MVP and All-Star twice in 1990 and 1992, and received Gold Glove and Silver Slugger for three consecutive years from 1990.스포츠토토

In addition to Bonds, the Pittsburgh team also decided to inducted Jim Leland, who won 851 games as Pittsburgh coach from 1986 to 1996, and Manny Sanguillen, one of the MLB's best catchers in the 1970s, into the Hall of Fame.
