# 'Choi Hyung-woo Grand Slam' leads Kia to 11-4 win over No. 2 LG

The Korean Baseball Organization's leading Kia Tigers started the second half of the season on a high note by catching the chasers.

The Tigers beat the LG Twins 11-4 on Monday at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul, South Korea. No. 4 designated hitter Choi Hyung-woo hit the game-winning grand slam in the sixth inning.

Lotte, looking to end a three-game losing streak, answered with a two-run double to left by Jeon Jun-woo in the third inning, but Park Sung-yi hit a single to center field with the bases loaded in the sixth inning to make it 4-2. They then gave up two runs in the eighth inning, but came back to score three runs in the bottom of the inning with a big inning of offense.

In Gochuk, the Kiwoom Heroes defeated the Hanwha Eagles 5-3. Hanwha took a 3-2 lead in the eighth inning, but crucial errors by catcher Lee Jae-won and third baseman Ha Joo-seok allowed three runs to score.

The Daegu NC Dinos-Samsung Lions game and the Suwon Doosan Bears-KT Wiz game were canceled due to rain.
