# 'Choi Hyung-woo Grand Slam' leads Kia to 11-4 win over No. 2 LG
The Korean Baseball Organization's leading Kia Tigers started the second half of the season on a high note by catching the chasers.
The Tigers beat the LG Twins 11-4 on Monday at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul, South Korea. No. 4 designated hitter Choi Hyung-woo hit the game-winning grand slam in the sixth inning.
With its fourth straight victory, Kia improved its record to 49-2 and 39-39 on the season. They are one win away from reaching the 50-win mark. The gap to second-place LG increased to 4.5 games.
Kia pounded out 17 hits in the first and second innings to harass the LG mound. Choi Hyung-woo went 3-for-5 with a grand slam, his ninth of the season, five RBIs and two runs scored. Kim Do-young was 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and four RBIs, while Na Sung-beom was 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and one run scored.
Kia starter James Nail didn't have his best outing, throwing 79 pitches in five and one-third innings, allowing six runs (one earned) on six hits, one walk and four strikeouts, but he picked up the win. He is now 8-2 on the season. LG, on the other hand, was plagued by a poor outing from Casey Kelly, who gave up five runs on nine hits in five innings.

They then gave up two runs in the eighth inning, but came back to score three runs in the bottom of the inning with a big inning of offense.
In Gochuk, the Kiwoom Heroes defeated the Hanwha Eagles 5-3. Hanwha took a 3-2 lead in the eighth inning, but crucial errors by catcher Lee Jae-won and third baseman Ha Joo-seok allowed three runs to score.
