# DLV Looking To Expand The Philippines

Latvian slot machine maker DLV hopes its success in casinos managed by Philippine Amuse and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) will allow it to enter privately managed casinos in Latvia.

DLV currently markets the seventh generation of Diamond Series slot products known as Diamond HD in Asia. The latest generation can be used as a sloped top or upright cabinet. The company database has 40 game options.

"Pagcor was the first step for us in the Philippines," says Herman Van Lishout, head of sales and technical support at DLV in Asia, referring to the Diamond Series. "Now we're also looking at private sector licenses like Solaire [Resort & Casino] and Resorts World Manila. Through our relationship with Pagcor, we proved that we have excellent slot products. The people there are playing our game. And the Philippines is a growing market. At the moment, I think there will be more new products than Macau," he added.

In Asia, the company's main target markets are casinos and arcades. These are the legitimate markets.

Van Lishout explains, "Our machines are not priced because they are not that expensive."

"There is no standard business model for the product. Every country, every market is different. But we're expecting a maximum return on investment of two years. We need to be financially strong enough to make an initial capital investment in equipment," he says.
