  • Technocratic Funding and Democratic Funding are distinct approaches to resource allocation, particularly in contexts like grant funding, governance, or public goods distribution. Here's how they differ: Technocratic Funding Definition: Decision-making and allocation are driven by experts, professionals, or those with specialized knowledge in a particular domain. Key Features:Expertise-Driven: Decisions are based on technical knowledge, data, or past performance. Efficient but Exclusive: Focuses on optimizing outcomes, but may limit input from the general population. Example in Web3:Retroactive Public Goods Funding (RetroPGF): Funds are allocated by expert badgeholders or decision-makers after assessing the outcomes of a project. Request for Proposals (RFPs): A targeted funding mechanism where experts review proposals and select the most promising projects. Pros:

  • The history of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) is an interesting evolution of technology, governance, and community-driven experimentation. Here’s a timeline and a deep dive into the key milestones and developments that shaped the DAO movement: 1. Early Ideas and Foundations Theoretical Beginnings (1990s–2013) Nick Szabo’s "Smart Contracts" (1994):Nick Szabo introduced the concept of "smart contracts," which are self-executing contracts embedded with rules and enforcement mechanisms. These formed the theoretical basis for DAOs by enabling programmable governance. Bitcoin (2009): Bitcoin was the first decentralized network, demonstrating how distributed consensus could maintain a trustless ledger.

  • What is DAOIP-5? DAOIP-5 is like a blueprint for describing how funding for projects is organized. It’s a standardized format that ensures everyone can understand and use data about grants and donations, especially for open-source projects. Why Does It Matter? Imagine a library of books where every book is written in a different language—it would be hard to share or compare information, right? DAOIP-5 solves this problem by making sure all "books" (grant or funding data) follow the same format. This brings two big benefits: Machines can read it: Computers can quickly process the funding data because it’s in a consistent “language.” People can use it: Developers, researchers, or organizations can access and work with the data without needing to decode it first.

  • By: Rashmi V Abbigeri , Twitter: @rashmivabbigeri , Github: @Rashmi-278 Abstract Smart contracts which are built upon blockchains open up oppurtunities for a wide range of possible financial tools and mechanisms. Some of which need to consume data from external sources. Pyth Network is an cross-chain publish-subscribe design oracle which sources the price data of digital assets such as Bitcoin/USD and commodities such as Crude oil. Pyth Network Sources this data from various institutional firms listed here, https://www.pyth.network/publishers They make this data available via API's and Pyth Smart Contracts Testing the APIs Pyth has three API Categories

This attestation links to the entityURI of the Stellar Community Fund, which is the decision-making body responsible for allocating awards to projects. While the Stellar Development Foundation handles payments, the Stellar Community Fund governs the allocation decisions. This attestation is structured in alignment with DAOIP-3, and the Stellar Community Fund also publishes grant metadata following DAOIP-5. The entityURI is hosted in the eip4824 GitHub repository: eip4824 stellar branch. • Tutorial: Setting a Context for a Schema on EAS To set a context for a schema on the EAS network, follow these steps: Step 1: Visit the EAS Explorer Go to the EAS explorer of the network where your schema exists. For example, for Optimism, visit Optimism EAS Explorer. Step 2: Find the Schema Context Look for a schema named "SCHEMA CONTEXT." This schema is used to set the context for other schemas. Step 3: Make an Attestation

  • Rapid RST technology by Intel uses RAID to access its storage devices , but this isn't compatiable with Linux based OS , so we need to change it to AHCI. 1. Switch your storage controller to AHCI mode Warning: Directly changing SATA to AHCI from RAID / IDE will make windows unbootable ! Some systems will have the Windows operating system installed using RAID drivers including the Intel Rapid Storage Technology. SSD drives typically perform better using AHCI drivers. There is in fact a way to switch operation from either IDE / RAID to AHCI within Windows 10 without having to reinstall. Here are the steps: Click the Start Button and type cmd Right-click the result and select Run as administrator Type this command and press ENTER: bcdedit /set {current} safeboot minimal (ALT: bcdedit /set safeboot minimal)

  • Author: Rashmi V Abbigeri, Twitter: @rashmivabbigeri Consensus, execution, data availability, and settlement are said to be the four primary functions of a blockchain network. When a blockchain network executes all four of these functionalities in its base layer, it’s called a monolithic blockchain. A modular blockchain decentralizes one of its three core components (execution, consensus, and data availability) by entrusting it to an external and autonomous chain. This division of functions enhances the flexibility and scalability of a modular blockchain, setting it apart from traditional monolithic blockchains. Examples of a modular blockchains are Celestia, Cosmos, and Fuel.

  • Hello Q Team, my name is Rashmi V Abbigeri. We met at DAO Tokyo. Hi there! I checked out your documentation and have a few observations and questions. Would you mind answering a few questions for me? Thanks! The "What is Q section" does not mention governance. I expected to read about how Q helps solve problems related to governance or how Q and governance fit together. I was unable to find answers to the following questions in the documentation: Why do we need the Q blockchain? What is different about this blockchain? What is its purpose? Can you provide an example use case that Q enables but other blockchains do not? Who writes/modifies the Constitution?
