1. Who are you and who is the RMRK team?

I'm Bruno, I started out in Ethereum in 2015 and did education for a bit, teaching web2 developers how to work with web3. In 2018 I got hired by Status to work on Ethereum 2.0, and in 2019 I got hired by Web3 Foundation to work on Polkadot and Kusama. Since the end of 2020 I have been working on the RMRK project with a team of 3 awesome developers - find us all on https://rmrk.app at the bottom. 2. What is RMRK and will it have a token?

RMRK is a platform for making and selling rich and customizable NFTs on the Kusama blockchain, and any other blockchain from the Polkadot universe. RMRK is a platform of ART LEGOS - the most advanced NFT platform in the universe because there is no limit to how you can compose your NFTs. It will have a token, $RMRK, max 10 million supply, yes. We are in seed sale right now.

3. Why the Kusama blockchain?

Kusama is Polkadot's "canary network", so it's very friendly to creative experiments like NFTs. It's a very artsy, cypherpunky blockchain with an audience which appreciates good art and fun. I think it's the future "artists' home", and I wanted to build something on it so the artists can actually start "building their houses".

4. Why no smart contracts?

Like Polkadot, Kusama is a "relay chain", a chain meant to connect other blockchains. It has to be very lightweight because of this, so it cannot have smart contracts. But the connecting functionality is not live yet, so the only way to put NFTs onto it was to use a method of "colored coins" from Bitcoin, where we write logic off-chain but verify with on-chain data.

5. How can we buy the RMRK token, is there a seed / early sale?

Yes, we have a seed sale right now - people who buy NFT eggs will get *free* $RMRK tokens when the tokens launch, and the tokens will be *unlocked*, not vested. There will also be a private sale later, selling only tokens without NFTs and those will be locked for 2 years and more expensive. You can get the NFTs via https://url.rmrk.app/seed and you will be allocated RMRK tokens automatically.

6. Do you have any interesting partnerships?

Sure, we will be launching on:

- Unique, the NFT parachain on Polkadot / Kusama
- Moonbeam, the Ethereum-based chain on Polkadot / Kusama
- Acala, the DeFi hub on Polkadot / Kusama
- Phala, the privacy-oriented DeFi platform on Polkadot / Kusama
- Zetigeist, the oracle and futarchy chain on Polkadot / Kusama

Additionally, we also have a partnership with Unifty for cross-chain NFT minting and selling, and also some upcoming ones with other platforms that publish and trade NFTs.

The $RMRK token will be used as a governance, collateral, and staking token on ALL these platforms.

7. What is Kanaria

It's our fundraiser, to get financial independence for the team, to test our technology, and to distribute the NFT and tokeholder base as much as possible, so the protocol is max decentralized. You can use it to get some NFT eggs via https://url.rmrk.app/bct and you will get free $RMRK tokens, and I mentioned above. Kanaria is basically a *product* on top of RMRK, and application built with RMRK, and RMRK is the technology powering it.

8. Benefit for Kanaria egg holders

There are several benefits:

1. Some egg holders will get revenue share. 20% of the RMRK team's profits will be given to all the bird-owners with the Revenue Share trait. Every Super Founder and Founder egg will get this trait, and some Rare and some Limited eggs too.
2. The birds that will hatch from eggs will be unique, and will have special child-NFT slots into which you can put other traits. Partners and platforms will mint new traits so you can equip them into these slots and get bonuses across the entire partnership ecosystem, as well as on any platforms we launch - from discounts to swag, and more.
3. The birds and eggs give you an allocation of free RMRK tokens. The tokens will be in high demand due to governance + staking mechanics.
