# RMRK Alliance :crossed_swords: A war is coming :crossed_swords: One army has fallen (Rome). More remain: * RMRK * Phala, Invarch, Acala(?), Ajuna, Odyssey(?) * Donnie * Odyssey, Kilt, EWT, * Unique (we recently learned they hold some gripe and have been fudding) * Enjin / Efinity * Odyssey and darwinia are still neutral, and both want to integrate RMRK, so we have a chance, but they are deeply entrenched with Donnie-owned projects so it will be tight * Supercolony (partners for now, but want to push their own standard) With that in mind, I have put together the following RMRK Alliance proposal, before another team beats us to it. The idea is to be a **force for good, openness, and collaboration**. To adopt better tech if it exists, but to aggressively push our own when it is objectively better suited. Please read, digest, and get back with feedback in the Slack thread. --- ## Internal Team Proposal - we spin up the long-promised forum with web3 logins, as a place where more permanent RMRK-based communications can be held, including tech talk, spec talk, skybreach talk, implementation, events, everything. - we gradually add more web3 functionality to it, like RMRK-based voting on threads, reputation reading, NFT badges... - we create a separate page on rmrk.app like "RMRK Alliance", and list there, in glorious detail (i.e. page section per entry) all projects building on and with RMRK, giving massive shoutouts to NC, Evrloot, etc. as well as Tricky, and others doing consulting and dev. - we regularly advertise these projects, give them shoutouts from official channels, tagging #RMRKalliance. Random intervals but fairly distributed, and we share their official news from our official channels. We make a TG group where they can drop these news for us to share. - we hold a fortnightly or monthly RMRK Alliance catch up call on meet or any other platform, where all those that join as Alliance members join and discuss problems, issues, plans, share ideas, etc. - joining the alliance requires that you very clearly state you are using RMRK technology on any public facing materials. This includes deck, website, whitepaper. - optionally, we tongue-in-cheek the "#buildersNotBullies" hashtag into tweets promoting the alliance tweets, and we clearly avoid inviting Donnie and his clique. This adds appreciation to the builders, and welcomes them a bit tighter into the fold, while keeping tabs on their progress and blockers. It also solidifes us as the standard everyone uses and cares about and allows us to address issues ahead of time. ## Outward Facing Post The RMRK team cordially invites you to join the RMRK Alliance - a group of builders building with and on RMRK to catapult the NFT space into the next, fully decentralized, fully compatible era. The goal is for the Alliance to be **a force for good, openness, and collaboration**. We want to invite you - as key ecosystem contributors and builders - to join us in a massive collaborative experience, starting in our Forum, and later evolving into the [CypherMOD](https://cyphermod.com) metadao. ### What does joining entail? As members, we could expect you to: - publicly proclaim your use of RMRK on any outward facing media and apps. This is already a requirement per our software license, but generally saying "built with RMRK NFTs 2.0" or "using RMRK NFTs 2.0" with a link to our docs is more than enough. It should be present in your public website, your whitepaper (if any), and your deck (if any). - join the Forum, and participate actively by, at the very least, posting a fortnightly update of your project. The update can be a link to an official blog post or newsletter documenting changes. This update is what the community would expect to hear more about during the fortnightly call (see below). - send at least one representative to join the fortnightly call and tell the others about updates and changes. - TODO ### What's in it for us? - we will vouch for you with any investors, within reason, after discussion and observation of your using the RMRK tech. - direct and regular contact with the core team and dev team at RMRK (this was already possible, we are quite approachable, but you can get a dedicated tech help channel too). - each team sticking it out in the first season of the Alliance (until the first CypherMOD SDK prototypes begin to arrive) with active contributions to code base, spec, or any other aspect of RMRK and related tech, will be given some $MOD. Amount is subject to discussion and contribution, and is entirely up to the subjective judgement of the CypherMOD team, but **if qualified** will be no less than 0.05% of total supply. - each team member will be given a Moddie, a non-transferable reputation-tracking avatar, which can be customized according to achievements on the Forum, and cosmetics from the open market (cross-collection compatible across Kanaria, Mushroom topia, Citizend, Zeitgeist, and others). This Moddie will also be given a soulbound 2.0 badge which proves Alliance membership, and granted access to a special category in the Forum. - TODO
