The Trojans compete in the NCAA Division II Mark Schuck Open & Multi-Events Open on Friday and Saturday at Myers Fieldhouse (135 Myers Field House) in Mankato, Minn. Friday’s meet kicks off at 3 p.m. with the multi-events, with the women’s starting with the 60-meter hurdles while the men’s start with the 60-meter dash. The running events start at 5 p.m. Friday with the 3000-meter run, followed by the 300-meters, 400-meter hurdles, 500-meter dash, distance medley relay, and the 4 x 200-meter relay. Saturday’s slate will be a full schedule of events, starting at 9 a.m. with the completion of the men’s heptathlon. Field events are set for 11 a.m. in men’s long jump, women’s weight throw, and women’s high jump. The running events being at 12:30 p.m. with the 60-meter hurdles and wrap up with the 4 x 400-meter relay. Lahna Matucha is slated to compete in the women’s pentathlon on Friday afternoon, starting at 3 p.m. with the 60-meter hurdle. She is also scheduled to compete in the high jump, followed by shot put, long jump, and wrapping up with the 800-meter run. Matucha accumulated 2,345 points in the pentathlon for the Trojans on Dec. 2, 2022, in the South Dakota State Holiday Invitational & Multi-Events. It was her pentathlon debut in her career at Dakota State, where her total pentathlon points are the fourth most points scored in school history. Treshawn Roberts, Caleb Roberts, and Caden Gortmaker are set to compete in the men’s heptathlon this weekend in Mankato. They begin on Friday at 4 p.m. with the 60-meter dash, followed by long jump, shot put, and high jump. The men’s heptathlon continues on Saturday at 9 a.m. with the 60-meter hurdles, pole vault, and 1000-meter run. T. Roberts had won the North Star Athletic Association men’s indoor heptathlon twice in the past three seasons (2020, 2022). He collected 4,648 points to win last year’s conference heptathlon title.
