## **TeleMask & the Telegram Virtual Machine (TVM)**

### **Introduction**

Our vision is to create an ecosystem of social primitives and applications that leverage the latest advancements in crypto, Web3, and NFTs, while prioritizing the core elements of a social-first experience. This network will primarily consist of a globally distributed system of nodes working together to *approximate* a "fork" of the Telegram social network. We aim to replicate, and even exceed, the user experience on Telegram, but with a crypto-native stack. We envision a network that any app developer can fork or build upon, and we're eager to partner with those building in the broader Telegram ecosystem.

### **Proof of Social Interaction (PoSI)**

The network will operate on a unique system where each user is granted a certain number of tokens. These tokens can be "staked" unconsciously through a mechanism we call "Proof of Social Interaction" (PoSI). As users interact and stake their tokens, the nature of their relationships becomes apparent. High mutual staking indicates a strong friendship, one-sided staking reveals a parasocial relationship, which could resemble a subscription, and medium staking on both sides could signify group chat level interactions.

### **Group Wallets**

Each group chat and conversation will have a wallet. This wallet is a multisig based on the people in that chat, facilitating "group spending". The group can collectively decide what to spend money on, based on whatever's in the Safe. If we have custody, we can charge AUM fees on this, similar to what Anchorage does, but at half the cost due to the social nature of our platform. This allows us to leverage the power of account abstraction and social recovery.

### **Experiences and Payments**

As part of the TVM ecosystem, we will aim to introduce valuable primitives for our community members. One of our first products will be "TeleSafe", a Gnosis Safe client one can interact with via Telegram commands in group chats. If it's a group chat with friends, you have a budget where you guys can spend on experiences together. Groups will also be able to purchase experiences together, from businesses who setup their own TeleSafe.

### **Multiple Identities**

In addition, our platform will support the creation of multiple accounts for alternate identities, similar to how one can have separate Telegram accounts for work and personal use.

### **Authenticity**

Our goal is to create a network for social apps that is genuine and authentic, unlike other platforms that can feel forced or artificial. We aim to first introduce this platform to our close friends and gradually expand from there, without the pretense of trying to change the world. We believe that selling access to friend groups or information groups is arguably the most cringe thing a social network can do, and we are committed to avoiding such practices.

## **The Brass Fund**

### **Introduction**

In conjunction with our social network, we plan to establish a $30M pre-seed and seed venture accelerator, "The Brass Fund". Named after the famous Web3 coworking spot, "The Brass Factory" in Brooklyn, this fund will support fellowships, hacker houses, and other initiatives for people to join and build apps on top of our network.

### **Fostering Innovation**

Each app built on our platform will have the opportunity to "fork" our network, essentially extending it. This allows for a diverse range of applications to be developed, fostering innovation and creativity within the ecosystem. Arguably the most important thing is that people build their apps on top of our "real" social network. The goal is to approximate the real Telegram network as closely as possible.
