# Innovating Media: Sofi's Top 3 Shots
### Number 3

I really like the movement in this shot, it makes it a lot more engaging in my opinion. I also like the magnifying glass specifically as it hints that whatever the person on the phone is about to say is especially important and students should take a "closer look" at it. I think it could be great to use this shot for a small aside during a larger lecture video or to bring attention to a specific point that students *must* know.
### Number 2

I'm going to second Laura and Alexis on this one but I think there's *so* much potential in this shot! The books can be related to the class which is really great, as has already been mentioned, but I also think that the books can serve as a 'teaser' for the rest of the lecture or video to get students excited about the information to come. I imagine this shot being used at the beginning of the longer video, so the books in the background could give a sort of overview of the topics to come. For example, if a class is going to be talking about colonialism, race, and slavery within a single lecture, then there would be a book related to each topic in the background.
### Number 1

I love this shot most because it really feels like the phone is part of the environment. I think studio art classes in particular will be difficult to recreate remotely just because the space of the studio is integral to the class. I think this shot is great for mediating that barrier as it makes me feel immersed in Alexis's creative space. I like how the art supplies are strewn 'randomly' across the table and create a sense of sponteneity. I think the paint tubes and paintbrushes could also be used to guide students' eyes to the screen (like how the blue paint tube points towards it) and can make the flow of the shot seem more dynamic even if there's no real movement.
