## GoofPower: YOU CAN DO ANYTHING(FTL Power)
### The original design pitch

### oranges's requests:
> Goof I don't mind your idea, but make sure you keep watts around, and the bars is just an abstraction over how much power the dept uses or is allowed to use.
>
> But the price of this power change is that **parts have to go**
> so it's either
> ~~parts use more power~~, or **parts go and power == better function**
> okay, so the bog standard engine ssetup should provide enough power to do 1 bar to every dept + 1 maybe 2 bars for engineers to allocate
> we probably need an
"emergency power bar", that is seperate from the normal power bars, and runs the doors/emergency lighting
> I will allow etherals to provide emergency power [...] so they can move through doors during powercuts
### addust's meaningless spessman comments
>i'm pretty sure this kind of thing could be executed using departmental substations
>overcharging equipment sounds really fucking cool but im not a maintainer so i have no authority here
>i'm pretty sure space ruins should be accounted for too
