# 20220228 - CR Echanges Raymetrics sur IPRAL déménagement

### Point d'étape Georges:
New software version. not only Raymetrics but also work with licel.
New kind of appraoach. all TCPIP communication with uniq type of automation. More or less done but latest needs to be done on site.
- New LPC. ready. Now this is 2 in one. One rack containing LPC and computer. Embedded computer inside. Was tested so far with windows 10. Under linux is still testing. CP confirm that we prefer Windows since our staff deal with windows for acquisition systems @SIRTA (cf C. Boitel)
- New vis Camera. OK
- Roof infrared check up. OK. CP mentionned that we will need to check wich position on the roof and sensitivity to avoid laser stops each someone is on the roof.
- Flip mirror. motor works. but Raymetrics changed the switches and cable. New casing and connector type in control box. related to the power alimentation. new casing is designed. Still some work to be don.
- LMC 900 connectors is replaced. New casing design. manufacturing is still in grogess. Communication is still the same. as before but new communication with the controller is managed from LPC by API through TCPIP
- 387nm motor issue confirmed. was Changed. All other motors OK.
- No shadow observed inWSU 387nm channel. The shadow observed previously was Propably due to duct tape somewhere that was removed at Raymetrics lab probably or fixed.
- New software itself.
- One major upgrade is to use new Licel software designed in partnership with Ratmetrics. Raymetrics previously designed its own software inside the licel one and it was nightmare as soon as licel upgrade its software.
- New idea is to embed command inside licel software so by TCPIP Raymetrics can intereact with Licel software and ease interaction no matter Licel software evolve in the future
- Same thing was done at larger scale. All hardware components are controlled though TCPIP server (mirror, motors etc...). Raymetrics will have to implement the hardware communication with spectra laser softwre on site at SIRTA
- Next thing on site will be also schedulling type of mesure configurationetc... needs to be done bu users on site
## new software capabilities:
- Georges shows demonstration of the new interface. Very impressive. Eveything is viewed in one windows.
- Similar to BASTA (CP guessed). One server is running to control all IPRAL hardware
- Then one terminal can submit command or script to the server to pilot IPRAL system
- CP asked if output data format changed?
- no change in output format files RM except some more information that could appear in headers. But at first we can stick with current format and headers without any issues.
### Planing:
- Most critical LPC is almost ready.
- Some delays building new boxes connectors and casing. No idea now when it will be completed. But Raymetrics do have other projects and do not want to delay much more. So rAymetrics wishes to come before Catholic easter (April 17th)
- Worst case would be before greek easter (Aprel 24th).
- Next week, GG will let us know about shipping back some component if they are not done with other things: at least WSUs and deflecting mirror and stepping motors.
### CP montre l'installation d'IPRAL dans le bâtiment ainsi que les derniers réglages et alignement de Gordien Strato.
- CP mentionne le besoin d'avoir les WSU et le miroir de renvoi pour que GS finisse le job. GG comprends parfaitement et nous tiens au couant à la fin de la semaine prochaine.
- CP mentionne aussi le câble interlock actuellement connecté entre le laser et le TGBT pour copuer le laser avec le capteur porte. CP dit à GG quil pourra connecter le LPC directement sur une entrée du TGBT mais que la sociéþé STPPE devra venir faire une adaptation. CP doit envoyer les plans à Raymetrics du système de sécurité pour que Raymetrics puisse anticiper le besoin.
- CP mentionne le problème des capteurs de fin de courses à rinstaller sur la trappe. Georges mentionne que probablement on en aura plus besoin avec le nouveau tiroir LPC. A rediscuter avec son équipe la semaine prochaine.
