# Design Constraints/Considerations
:::info
At this stage a random collection of thoughts that need validation.

## Vacuum
### Filtering (bagless)
- All bagless vacuums need filters that need to be maintained
- Good filtering is important for longer lifetime of the motor
- fine particles that get into the motor are a major stress
- Make access and cleaning easy for the user
- Remind user of filter cleaning (app notification)
- Have a sensor to measure particle pollution
### Cyclone (bagless)
#### Cyclone should be cylindrical, both inner and outer geometry

*Outer cyclone geometry is not cylindrical (Shark)*
#### Cyclone should be facing downwards
- Taking advantage of gravity (vs. working against gravity)
- Dysons follows this design (vs. Shark)

### Parallel/serial configuration
### Example: 4p (industrial dust extractor)

- 4 motors - 4 filters - 4 cyclones - 1 major cyclone - steel drum

*Motors on top with 1.2kW each.*
## Add-Ons
### Green laser
- Patented by Dyson
- Aftermarket products do exist

## Generic
### BOM
#### Minimize screw types
- In the best case have one type of screw.
