## Design Inspiration
### Grant Programs
The following are a few websites with similar goals as the the Music Education Assistance Project. Looking through them can provide ideas for better organizing pages and for presenting information. I'd like to have your feedback on aspects of these sites which you find appealing.
#### 1. **[PRS Foundation](https://prsfoundation.com/)**
#### 2. [AMF Atlantic Music Festival](https://www.atlanticmusicfestival.org/)
#### 3. [Council on the Arts](https://www.arts.ny.gov/programs/music)
### Main Page
I’ve started researching potential layouts used by other sites as inspiration; scroll through the list below and let me know which ones have pieces that you like. The final product will be original, but it’s helpful to know what functionality and design styles suite you from these examples so I have some direction to start with.
#### a.

#### b.

#### c. [Donal Skehan](http://www.donalskehan.com/)

#### d. [The Discoverer](https://www.thediscoverer.com/)

### Board Members
Showing the members of an organization plays an important role in gaining the trust of the user by appearing more real. Here are three potential designs for representing the team:
#### i.

#### ii.

#### iii.

## Site Layout
**1. HOME:** intro, the mission, team quick-view, link to 'grant programs' and 'recitals' pages, success stories
**2. GRANT PROGRAMS:** description, “Learn More” link to the ‘applications’ page, intro to recitals and link to 'recitals' page, description of projects funded
**3. APPLICATIONS:** link to application forms, quick summary of grants, application criteria list, summary of how to apply
**4. RECITALS:** description, full screen images of past and most recent recitals (displayed in chronological order)
**5. DONATE:** summary
**6. CONTACT/ABOUT US:** address/email/phone number, share to facebook button, summary of MEAP, consider adding history of organization
## Timeline
- My goal is to create an elegant website which is more visually stimulating and inviting for the user, though the division of the information will, for the most part, stay the same as to what is currently on the site.
- I expect the site to be complete within 4 to 5 weeks, and the final cost to come to between 700 and 800 USD, which includes a new logo and touch-ups of the images in Photoshop.
- The final website will be hosted on WordPress so that changes to the site can easily be made in the future as more scholarships are presented and recitals are held.
- Things to do:
1. confirm the structure of the site;
2. decide on a theme as inspiration and a design for the 'board members' section;
3. [choose a colour](https://www.quackit.com/css/css_color_codes.cfm) to represent the organization;
4. create a logo.
