### 🏡 The House
The living room and kitchen are both quite large, with unusually **high ceilings** for a 1900s Montreal row-house, which make the whole apartment always feel **well-lit and spacious**. There's also a storage room / laundry room that's perfect if you have snow gear or other bulky items to store. We have **gardens on the front and back balconies** during the summer, as well as indoors.
The **front balcony has a small bistro set** in the summer and great view of the main street.
**The apartment's location is phenomenal:** one of Montreal's best **supermarkets is around the corner** (PA), there's **live jazz across the street** (typically) every night at Café Resonance, you can get great beer at Dieu Du Ciel, and **Fairmont Bagels** (open 24/7) is a short walk away!
The **51, 80, 435 and other busses all stop within a block**, making it easy to get pretty much anywhere downtown within 20 minutes, including McGill.
**Street parking near the house is available but limited**, you can get a residential permit which allows you to park your car in more areas, but it's still often tricky to find a spot. Note that the **apartment is not wheelchair accessible** as we live on the 3rd floor.
### 🛏 The Room
The room has high ceilings, and is roughly 8*5 meters in size. It comes unfurnished, but the previous tenant can offer some of their furniture at a good price if needed. It's the brightest room in the house which is great for the upcoming winter months!
There's a radiator in the room for heating in the winter and space in the windows to place a large AC unit if needed in the summer. No closet.
### 👌 The People
Our 🏳️🌈LGBTQ+ friendly home consists of a paramedic and an ERP consultant, and we can’t wait have someone new join our dinner table for a bit! We're looking for someone in their 20s/30s who's clean, respectful, and independent, but also sociable, curious, and adventurous. We enjoy **cooking communal dinners**, **playing cards** and **watching movies together**.
**Activities we like:** climbing, bicycling, camping, skiing/snowboarding, acro-yoga, programming, reading, writing, gardening, sketching, building, listening to music, rollerblading/ice skating, cooking, motorbiking.
**Music we like:** Jazz, Alt-Rock, Classical, Funk, Electro-Swing, Psychedelic Rock.
**Movies we like:** The Prestige, Groundhog Day, The Great Dictator, Dr. Strangelove, Spirited Away, Inside Man, Children of Men, Leon the Professional.
**Languages we speak:** English, French, Danish, Polish. Almost all English around the house though.

### 🛋 The Living Environment
We have a standard chore-splitting rotation, the house is usually kept fairly tidy, floors are swept every week and dishes rarely sit more than 12hr in the sink (but we're fairly easygoing about it as long as stuff isn't piling up and making common areas unusable, the occasional late cleaning is fine).
### 🦠 COVID-19 (important!)
One of the roommates is a paramedic and treats patients with COVID regularly with head-to-toe protective equipment, including a P100 mask. So far all the apartment's tests have been negative, but we're still fairly strict about social distancing. We hope any roommate who joins us will be as well.
