## Timeline
I can finalize this timeline and provide a budget proposal once we confirm layout and needed features, though I expect the project will take roughly 6 weeks total from buying the domain to launching the site live. Tasks to complete:
- decide on site layout, design goals, and budget
- buy domain name & setup hosting with a simple "under construction" page
- prepare initial mockups on different designs to choose from
- proceed with chosen design, add page content, and finish coding work
- set up interactive components such as scheduling and contact form
- create a logo
...
- I can provide additional edits and pages for the site in the future.
## Considerations
### Intent
What's the primary goal of the website? e.g. to get users to book a lesson, to introduce the members of your team, to showcase success stories, or something else? Figuring out what you want the viewer to do is important to the design, as we want to make whatever that goal is as clear as possible, and help guide visitors towards completing it. For example, if the website is service-oriented with intent to get the viewer to book vocal lessons, a scheduling form is essential.
### Marketing
Let me know if you want help getting more visitors on the site after launch. It's helpful to think about how you want to market it as we're designing it early on. Post-launch, we can work together to bring in visitors via Google Search, Maps, Yelp, Facebook, and elsewhere. Location-focused ads are often quite effective (e.g. people looking for "vocal lessons *in NYC*"), and it's easy to start small ($10-$200/month) to see how well they work.
### Look and Feel
Who are your primary customers? What appeals to them most? Do you want something simple and minimal, something official-looking and businesslike, or something playful and entertaining? If you can find some websites that you like and want to imitate, it'll help inspire how I design your site (see below for some ideas).
## Site Layout
1. **home:** intro, our goal, philosophy, team quickview
2. **workshops/pricing:** date, price, description, level of difficulty, link to scheduling
3. **about/team:** videos/recordings, photos (individual and team), biography/specialty, credentials
4. **contact us/bookings:** address, social media links, contact form, scheduling calendar
Let me know what other pages you want or if you want to change these.
## Potential Design Inspirations
I've started researching potential layouts used by other sites as inspiration; scroll through the list below and let me know which ones have pieces that you like. The final product will be original, but it's helpful to know what functionality and design styles suite you from these examples so I have some direction to start with.
