# Tiered Subscription - Functional Specification

## Overview

#### Desc:
The ability to expand upon the current subscription model we use (Montly, Yearly, or one or the other) and add in a tiered setup that will open up existing features based on a specific purchase.

For example:
If a user pays $9.99/month that could open up specific modules, but only a percentage of the total value of the module. Library - has 100 videos and series, but the lower tier purcahse only opens up 50% of the videos and no series.

If a user pays $19.99/month for that same client app purchase, their subscription tier would open the entire library including the series videos that were not part of the lower tiered subscription.

Some more examples as discussed with clients:
Silver Tier - Open selected videos from library and 1 lesson per year
Gold Tier - Open entire library and 1 lesson per year
Platinum Tier - Open entire library and 1 lesson per month for the year.

These tiers can be setup based on the need of the client, there can be multiple monthly options and multiple yearly options based on what they client would be able to offer the purchaser.

#### Requested Timeframe:
This could provide more value to the clients for their apps, offer up other options for existing in person students, provide more value for the apps based on the tiers, therefore it should be something we look to complete by the end of quarter 2 (**EOQ-2**)

## Scenarios / High-Level Functionality

The multiple tiers for the Monthly or Yearly subscriptions will provide specified content to the user based on their selections.

## Usability / Screen Design(s) (if applicable)

The paywalls for the tiered structure can utilize the existing paywall style screens that we have the ability to create on the CSM side. Take the existing paywall buttons but do not display the price on them. However, when clicking the button another screen that pops up with options for Monthly or Yearly based on the tier.

Example: User clicks Monthly option. It pops up a 3 quarter screen that says for Silver Tier the user will pay specified lower price, for Gold Tier the user will pay specificed higher price. The buttons for selection will be displayed on the 3 quarter screen. The same will exist for yearly Silver/Gold.
