The mission of Openw3b is to ensure privacy and freedom for everyone in this digital age.

Whether you want to backup your personal photos, chat with your friends, access content on the internet or run your organization with a diverse set of requirements, you must have the choice to do it with privacy, security and freedom.

We want to make this happen by decentralizing the internet with out-of-box servers and applications that communicate peer-to-peer and allow true data ownership with unparalleled value and eae of use.

To do this, we need to:
- Make self-hosting simple, easy and viable for people and organizations
- Create an ecosystem of compelling open-source decentralized applications and solutions
- Empowering people and organizations towards decentralization and data ownership

To start with we are working on two hardware products and creating an open source application ecosystem to run on it.

**Products:**

**1. SAFE**

SAFE is intended to provide an out of the box solution that enables users to store personal and application data in a secure and reliable way while offering compelling value for money, accessibility and features.

What do I get?
- Your personal cloud
All your photos, videos, documents and everything else will now be stored on the server and can be securely accessed by you the people you share it with from anywhere
- Host w3b application services and their data
Most of your digital interactions such as calls, messages, emails, calendar entries, etc. will only be accessible to and stored by you and the people you intend to share with
- Firewall and VPN for your home network
Block ads, trackers and malware traffic from your home while still being able to securely access the IoT and other devices at home
- Media server and Smart TV
Access your media library of movies, shows, etc. from your TV, mobile and other devices. Make any device a smart TV by connecting it to SAFE
- More features like anonymized internet access, etc. too will follow

**2. VAULT**

VAULT is intended to provide businesses and organizations with a scalable, economical and reliable alternative to cloud services and hosting.

What do I get?
- w3b suite
A open-source suite of w3b applications that you easily migrate to for email, meetings, calendar, instant messaging, project management, documentation, etc.
- Cloud hosting
Host your applications and services on-prem in a reliable way without worrying about power or network interruptions. The server will have batteries and redundant networking support.

Currently we are parallely working on both the products and the application suite and expect it to take up to a year of work before they are ready for widespread use.
