### Backgorund
Ruby is a bold girl who has always felt different. She is 16 and has long red hair. She wants to learn how to fix things but is not accepted. She is an orphan that was adopted by a very quiet, reserved couple. They are nice people but fearful of a lot of things. They do not know that Ruby likes to ride motorcycles. Ruby goes to a normal high school but dreams of going to the school across the street. A technical school. She dreams of becoming a motorcycle mechanic and hates going to regular school. She also dreams of finding her birth parents someday. She has always been very adventurous but has never fully embraced that because she fears disappointing her parents. Her best friend is named Danny. He’s an awkward creative individual who is quick to make judgments but Ruby always delights in explaining why keeping an open mind is important to him.

The story starts with Ruby at school, staring at the clock not paying attention to the teacher. The bell rings and everyone goes out. While at the bus stop Ruby talks to her one friend, Danny. She talks about how much she hates school and wishes she could transfer to the technical school so she can begin her training in motorcycle building. Meanwhile we see the leader of a notorious motorcycle gang, Josh roll into town. They go into a convenience store and just take what they want.

They begin going through town causing trouble. Word gets around and Ruby hears about it. She begins to worry but does not know what she can do. Her friend Danny mentions he hears a story about Josh hating being humiliated. He also says he’s heard josh has never turned down a challenge. Ruby starts to devise a plan.

Before she goes into her home she changes out of her clothes into more feminine demure clothes. Her family is happy to see her but tell her they are concerned with the newcomers in town. Olivia realizes she needs to stop lying to her parents in order to challenge josh in front of the whole town. She decides to tell them that she rides a motorcycle and is a bit of a daredevil.
Her parents don’t react well and her dad is furious. They tell her she is putting her life in danger and won’t support that behavior.

Olivia run’s away to her friend Danny’s house. There Danny says who needs them. He convinces her to go on a journey to find her birth mom who she knows is still alive. Olivia leaves town and Josh takes over the technical school’s garage as a lair. They use it to store all their stolen goods. It seems like they are looking for something in particular. They go house to house searching all the homes. Eventually it is revealed they are looking for a very special motorcycle Jacket. This Jacket used to belong to Evil Kineval, a famous motorcycle stuntman who did impossible jumps. It is believed his jacket is imbued with special powers. Josh believes owning this jacket will keep him from being embarrassed and forced out of towns.

Olivia arrives at her mother’s house. She knocks and a woman that looks like her answers the door. Olivia explains who she is and why she is there. The women hugs her and they begin to cry. A few minutes later they are having tea in the dining room and Olivia asks where her dad is. Her mom gets upset and tells her he passed away while she was pregnant with her. Ruby is upset to learn this news but tried to comfort her mom. Suddenly her mom remembers something and get’s up. They go up to the attic and she opens an old box. She say’s your dad wanted you to have this. She holds up a white jacket with blue and red stars. Evil Kinevals Jacket.

Just as she holds the jacket up Josh’s men break in. They get scared and decide to hide behind some boxes. We see Josh the boss find the jacket on the ground. He say’s I’ve been looking for you and laughs maniacly. They all leave the house breaking things on the way out.

Ruby realizes that Jacket was her one chance to save the town. She decides to leave her mom’s house and follow the crew. She follows them to their lair and tries to sneak in when they all leave. Unfortunately, she steps on some chips and wakes up the one guard who was sleeping. The guard see’s her hiding the jacket and chases her. She narrowly escapes and climbs to the top of her high school where she is cornered. The crew shows up and sees this commotion. Josh ask’s what the commotions about and a crowd begins to form. Looking up at Ruby.

Ruby challenges Josh to a jump across a cliff. Josh is reluctant but when Ruby calls him chicken he agrees because ehe hates being called chicken, he has a huge Ego. Ruby is a bit afraid too but decides to be courageous, just like her dad. She makes a deal that if she win’s Josh will have to leave town forever and give back what they stole. They agree to the terms.

This jump is next to impossible and the only person to ever attempt it was evil kineval. Ruby goes first. She is extremely scared and is about to chicken out she sticks her hand in the jacket pocket and finds a slip of paper. The paper say’s “I love you kiddo- from dad.” This gives her the Courage she needed. She does the jump and can feel the jacket protecting her and carrying her across. Josh is next. His front tire makes the edge and he can’t make it back up. He falls to the bottom.

The crew is terrified and doesn’t know what to do without their leader. They leave town as fast as they came in. The owner of the technical school offers Ruby a scholarship for saving the school, and Ruby’s parents come up and tell her to follow her heart. She has their blessing, but they will always worry about her. She say’s don’t worry you won’t have to, winks, zips up her jacket and zooms off.
